Zhenskaya Hockey League
The Zhenskaya Hockey League or ZhHL (), officially called the Women's Hockey League (WHL), is a professional ice hockey league in Russia, currently comprising eight teams. The league is also known as the PariMatch Women's Hockey League for sponsorship reasons. The league was founded via a joint partnership of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and the Ice Hockey Federation of Russia (FHR) on 19 June 2015. It replaced the Russian Women's Hockey League (RWHL), which had been founded in 1995 and was operated by the FHR alone. Alexei Morozov
Alexei Alekseyevich Morozov (; born 16 February 1977) is the president of the Kontinental Hockey League and a Russian former professional ice hockey player. He played professional hockey with the Pittsburgh Penguins in the National Hockey League (NHL) and in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) with Ak Bars Kazan and CSKA Moscow. He is the former captain of the Russian national team, having held the post from 2007 to 2011, with the team winning 2 gold, 1 silver (missed tournament due to injury, Kovalchuk captained) and 1 bronze medal at the World Championships during this time. Traktor Ice Arena named after Valery Konsantinovich Belousov (), commonly shortened to Traktor Ice Arena, is an indoor arena, indoor sporting arena located in Chelyabinsk, Russia. It is used for various indoor events and is the home arena of Traktor Chelyabinsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and Belye Medvedi of Junior Hockey League (Russia), Junior Hockey League (MHL). The capacity of the arena is 7,500 spectators. It replaced Yunost Sport Palace as the home of Traktor. The arena is named after former Traktor head coach Valery Belousov. Alena Polenská (previously Mills; born 9 June 1990) is a Czech ice hockey player and former captain of the Czech Republic women's national ice hockey team. The European Women's Hockey League, abbreviated EWHL, is an international ice hockey league. Created as the Elite Women's Hockey League in 2004 by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), the EWHL comprises clubs from several countries in Central Europe and one team from Kazakhstan, and is played in parallel to national championships.
