Zane (born 1966/1967) is the pseudonym of Kristina Laferne Roberts, author of erotic fiction novels. She is best known for her novel ''Addicted''. The Zane family was important to the early history and settlement of western Virginia and the U.S. state of Ohio. Brothers Ebenezer (1747–1811) and Isaac Zane both served in the Virginia House of Delegates before moving westward. They laid out sections of the Ohio Country, including the municipalities of Zanesville and Zanesfield. Their sister Betty Zane (1759–1823), was a heroine of the Revolutionary War. Zane's Trace
Zane's Trace is a frontier road constructed under the direction of Col. Ebenezer Zane through the Northwest Territory of the United States, in what is now the state of Ohio. Many portions were based on traditional Native American trails. Constructed during 1796 and 1797, the road ran from Wheeling, Virginia (now Wheeling, West Virginia) to Maysville, Kentucky, through the portion of the Northwest Territory that eventually became the southeastern quarter of the state of Ohio. It was more than long and was interrupted by several rivers. Construction and later improvements After serving in the Continental Army in the American Revolutionary War, Col. Zanesville is a city in and the county seat of Muskingum County, Ohio, United States. It is located east of Columbus and had a population of 24,765 as of the 2020 census, down from 25,487 as of the 2010 census. Zanesfield is a village in Logan County, Ohio, United States of America. The population was 197 at the 2010 census. It is the smallest incorporated village in Logan County. History Zanesfield is named for Isaac Zane, who was born in 1753 in what was then Berkeley County, Virginia, and is now Hardy County, West Virginia. He was the youngest brother of Ebenezer Zane, for whom Zanesville, Ohio, is named. In 1762 at the age of nine, Isaac was captured by Native Americans of the Wyandot tribe and adopted into the tribe.
