Yusuf Muhammad is a British inventor and engineer. He is the founding director of '' Plumis'', a start-up which develops innovative systems to protect people from fires. He won the Red Dot Award in 2016. He has appeared on the BBC Two show Big Life Fix. Early life and education Muhammad was born in Sidcup. He studied Mechanical Design, Materials and Manufacture at the University of Nottingham, earning a Masters in 2006. He completed the Industrial Design Engineering Masters at the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London in 2008. In his second year he won £25,000 from the New Business Challenge to develop a fire extinguishing system. Career Plumis was established whilst Muhammad was the Royal College of Art. Working with Paul Thomas and Jeung Woo Choi, he designed a series of solutions to suppress fire. He joined the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design, redesigning the modern ambulance. Yusuf Mohamed (born 5 November 1983) is a retired Nigerian football defender who played as a right-back. Career A defender, Mohamed won the African Champions league title with Enyimba in 2003 and 2004, before moving to Sudanese club Al-Hilal. On 23 January 2009, he completed a move to Swiss side FC Sion from Al-Hilal. Mohammed underwent a medical and agreed on a three-and-a-half-year deal in time to beat the transfer deadline, following in the footsteps of compatriot Obinna Nwaneri, who also joined Sion in 2007 after breaking into the Super Eagles squad. Yusuf Mohamed Ismail "Bari-Bari" (, ; 15 July 1958 – 27 March 2015) was a Somali diplomat and politician. He was the Ambassador of Somalia to the United Nations Human Rights Office in Geneva. Personal life Ismail was born in 1960 in Rome, Italy to an aristocratic Somali family. He belonged to the Majeerteen Harti Darod clan. His family originally hailed from Garowe, the administrative capital of the northeastern Puntland regional state of Somalia.
