Yuga (2006 Film)
''Yuga'' () is a 2006 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language Science fiction film, science fiction thriller film directed by Yaar Kannan and starring Nassar (actor), Nassar, Richard Rishi, Richard, Manikandan, Swarnamalya, Kadhal Sukumar, Sukumar, Jai, Raja, Santhoshi, and Bharathi (Tamil actress), Bharathi. The film was produced by fifty film technicians. Cast Soundtrack The music was composed by Dhina. Reception S. Sudha of ''Rediff.com'' gave the film a rating of two-and-a-half out of five stars and wrote that "On the whole, a commendable effort, considering it was completed with great difficulty". Malini Mannath of ''Chennai Online'' stated that "'Yuga' neither excites nor entertains". A critic from ''Cinesouth'' wrote that "This is not a film on love, lust or gangsterism. Yaar Kannan
Yaar Kannan is an Indian film director and screenwriter who has worked on Tamil films. He made his debut with the 1985 with the horror film '' Yaar?'' and regularly collaborated with Ramarajan in the late 1980s. Career After assisting Mahendran, Kannan made his debut as a filmmaker by directing '' Yaar?'' (1985), a horror film which gave a breakthrough to actor Arjun in the Tamil film industry. The success of the film prompted the director to use the film's name as a prefix and he subsequently went on to make several films in the late 1980s with Ramarajan including '' Namma Ooru Nayagan'' (1988), '' Anbu Kattalai'' (1989) and ''Kaavalan'' (1990). Yamuna is an Indian actress who has appeared primarily in Telugu films in addition to a few Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil films. ''Kalki'' is a Tamil-language weekly magazine published from Chennai, India. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. T Sadasivam was the magazine's co-founder. The magazine is known for its publication of historic novels such as '' Ponniyin Selvan'' and '' Sivagamiyin Sabadham''.
