"Young Bloods" is a song by the Los Angeles-based punk rock band The Bronx, released as the first single from their 2008 album ''The Bronx''. While the album was released by Original Signal Records and the band's own White Drugs label, the singles for all of their albums have been released exclusively in the United Kingdom, through Wichita Recordings. The single was released on 7-inch vinyl and limited to 1,500 copies. The B-side song, "Lab Rats", is an outtake from the album's recording sessions. The cover artwork was designed by guitarist Joby J. Ford. The music video for "Young Bloods" was directed by French visual artist Lokiss. Mike Piscitelli had directed four of the band's five previous music videos, but was unable to work on "Young Bloods" due to being on a project in Africa. The video shows lucha libre-style wrestlers practicing and sparring in a room. The album peaked at No. 69 on the ''Billboard'' 200. The title track peaked at No. 21 on ''Billboards Best Selling Soul Singles chart. Production The album was produced primarily by Jerry Goldstein. It was War's final album with B.B. Dickerson as a full member of the band; discounting Eric Burdon, it was also the band's final album with its original lineup. War and the film's studio used a multi-track synchronizing system, as did many soundtracks of the period. "Youngblood (Livin' in the Streets)" begins with a conga introduction. Alkatrazz
Alkatrazz were an English heavy metal band from Maidstone, Kent. Formed in 1980 as part of the new wave of British heavy metal (NWOBHM) movement, the group originally featured lead vocalist Craig Stevens, guitarist and backing vocalist Bob Jenner, bassist Gary Bevan, and drummer and backing vocalist Nick Parsons. In 1981 they signed to RCA Records and released their debut album ''Young Blood'', followed by their second ''Radio 5'' the following year. Shortly after the latter's release, Alkatrazz were dropped by the label. Bevan was briefly replaced by Phillip Tame, before the group disbanded in 1983. History Bob Jenner and Nicko Parsons originally performed as part of jazz fusion band Interface, before being persuaded by their manager Tony Tullett to "move to a more rock direction". After bringing in bassist Gary Bevan, the group began rehearsing with a second guitarist, Dave Saunders. ''The Youngbloods'' is the debut self-titled studio album by the American rock band the Youngbloods, released in 1967. It was also reissued in 1971 under the title ''Get Together'' after the popular single from the album. The album peaked at number 131 on the ''Billboard'' 200 although two years later the single " Get Together" reached number five and sold more than a million copies. History " Get Together" was written by Chet Powers (aka Dino Valenti of Quicksilver Messenger Service) and had already appeared in 1963 on the album ''12 String Guitar! Vol. 2 '' by the Folkswingers and in 1966 as a track on the first album by the Jefferson Airplane.
