You Start, I'll Join In

It was written by David Bond and Paul Hawksbee, and produced by Pete Atkin. The series starred George Layton as Mac and Vas Blackwood as Trevor, a drummer and a pianist in a two-man band. The series followed their wacky adventures. It ran for six episodes of approximately 30 minutes each. Paul Hawksbee is a British sports radio presenter and comedy writer. He has presented the ''Hawksbee and Jacobs show'' alongside Andy Jacobs on talkSPORT since the station's inception in 2000, he plays the role of straight man in the partnership to funny man Jacobs' often brilliant comedic observations. Pete Atkin
Pete Atkin (born 22 August 1945) is a British singer-songwriter and radio producer, notable for his 1970s musical collaborations with Clive James and for producing the BBC Radio 4 series, '' This Sceptred Isle''. Early life Born in Cambridge, England, Atkin attended Romsey County Primary School and The Perse School, where he learnt to play the violin. In 1959, he formed a church youth club band called 'The Chevrons' for whom he played piano with four schoolfriends. He studied Classics and English at Cambridge University, where he was a member of St John's College. In 1966 he joined Cambridge Footlights, becoming the musical director for the revues. Music career Atkin made his first recording in 1967: a private pressing of 160 copies of ''While The Music Lasts''. Next year he was taken to EMI with Julie Covington to record the most popular number from the 1967 Revue Show: the complex "Duet", which had appeared on his first album. George Layton (born 2 March 1943) is an English actor, director, screenwriter and author best known for three television roles – junior doctor Paul Collier in the comedy series ''Doctor in the House'' and its sequels '' Doctor at Large'', '' Doctor in Charge'' ''and Doctor at the Top'', that of Bombardier 'Solly' Solomons in the first two series of ''It Ain't Half Hot Mum'', and as Des the mechanic in early episodes of ''Minder''. Vasta Roy "Vas" Blackwood (born 19 October 1962) is a British actor from London. Blackwood played Lenny Henry's sidekick Winston Churchill in '' The Lenny Henry Show'' (1987) and David Sinclair in '' Casualty'' (1996–97).
