The band's debut album, ''Make Your Mama Proud'', was released in April 1996. The album sold about 3,000 copies in its first year of release, failing to chart and putting the band's future in doubt. One single was released from the album, "Are You Ready for the Fallout?". The band's single " The Way" was released in February 1998 as the first single from the band's then-upcoming second studio album. It was a commercial success, peaking at number 4 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 Airplay chart and topping the Canadian Singles Chart. It also managed to chart in several other countries, including Australia, where peaked at number 14 and was certified gold by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA). The Harsh Light Of Day
''The Harsh Light of Day'' is the third studio album by pop-rock band Fastball, released in September 2000 by Hollywood Records. It contained the single release "You're an Ocean," which spent eight weeks on the ''Billboard'' Bubbling Under chart and peaked at #101 during the fall of 2000. It also reached #25 on ''Radio & Records''. The album had a distinctly more layered and glossier sound than past albums, and featured guest appearances by Billy Preston, Brian Setzer and Michael Ward. However, despite positive reviews and extensive touring and promotional activity, the album failed to match the success of its predecessor, and would be the band's last studio effort for Hollywood Records. Miles Zuniga left the band briefly following the completion of promotional duties for ''The Harsh Light of Day'', and moved to Nashville, Tennessee, but re-joined the band soon afterwards. Fastball appeared on an episode of '' Charmed'', where "You're an Ocean" played at Piper's night club ...

Sverigetopplistan
Sverigetopplistan (, lit. "the Sweden top list") is the Swedish national record chart, formerly known as Topplistan (1975–1997) and Hitlistan (1998–2007) and known by its current name since October 2007, based on sales data from the Swedish Recording Industry Association (in Swedish Grammofonleverantörernas förening). Before Topplistan, music sales in Sweden were recorded by Kvällstoppen, whose weekly chart was a combined albums and singles list. History For the period of 1976 to 2006, the official Swedish music charts were published by Sveriges Radio P3, a station owned by Sveriges Radio. At the end of 2006, it stopped publishing the general charts, which were entrusted to Swedish Recording Industry Association in the beginning of 2007. However, Sveriges Radio P3 continued to publish the most downloaded music charts, according to the statistics compiled by Nielsen SoundScan. The new strictly-download chart was called DigiListan. Since late 2006, the chart has includ ...

The Official Finnish Charts
The Official Finnish Charts ( fi, Suomen virallinen lista; sv, Finlands officiella lista) are national record charts in Finland compiled and published by Musiikkituottajat – IFPI Finland. The name ''Suomen virallinen lista/Finlands officiella lista'' (lit. "the Official Finnish Chart"), which is singular in both Finnish and Swedish, is used generically to refer to both the albums and the singles chart, and the context (albums or songs) reveals which chart is meant. History The first charts were published in 1951. In January 1991, the Yle radio station Radiomafia started to compile the first weekly chart in Finland called ''Radiomafian lista'', which was broadcast on the radio every Sunday. Prior to that, all singles and album charts in Finland had been either monthly or biweekly published sales charts. ''Radiomafian lista'' became the official Finnish charts in January 1994 when they began a partnership with Suomen Ääni- ja kuvatallennetuottajat (ÄKT) (now known as Mu ...

Soundtrack (EP)
''Soundtrack'' is the first EP released by American rock band Fastball. All four songs debuted previously through their Patreon page before being released on all streaming platforms. Music critic Peter Blackstock says of Fastball's EP, " oundtrackcontinues their winning roll. Scalzo’s hard-hitting 'Chump Change' and pop-sweet 'Electric Cool-Aide' balance against Zuniga’s moodier 'House on the Edge of the World'; and the midtempo title track." All four songs from the EP were included in Fastball's ninth studio album, ''The Deep End.'' Background The EP was recorded in June 2021, produced by Steve Berlin, and engineered by Charlie Kramsky. Berlin also produced the band's '' The Help Machine'' album. The Help Machine
''The Help Machine'' is the seventh studio album by American rock band Fastball. Background Produced by Steve Berlin of Los Lobos, Berlin personally selected the tracks for the album from a list of songs provided to him by Tony Scalzo and Miles Zuniga. Berlin recruited bassist Bruce Hughes to play bass, reuniting Hughes with band, and allowing him to take over bass duties from Scalzo. This freed Scalzo to concentrate on keyboards and guitar. This album marks the first time since ''The Harsh Light of Day'' that a Fastball album does not feature songs co-written by Scalzo and Zuniga. The first single off of the album, ''The Help Machine,'' addresses the effects of consumerism. According to Zuniga, " he song isjust about emptiness and the feeling that things that are supposed to make us happy don't." Critical reception Described as "ethereal", the album also features the band's signature sound with comparisons to Elvis Costello and the Beatles. ''Pop Matters'' magazine referred ...
