You're Summer
Sweden was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 1973 with the song "You're Summer", composed by Monica Dominique and Carl-Axel Dominique, with lyrics by Lars Forssell, and performed by Nova and the Dolls. The Swedish participating broadcaster, (SR), selected its entry through 1973. The winner of was the song "" performed by the group Malta. To avoid being confused with the country of Malta, who did not participate in that year's contest, they changed their name to "The Nova" (with their backing group The Dolls) for the contest. The song was translated into English with the title "You're Summer" for Eurovision. Another of the competitors of was a group of four who, later in the year, would become ABBA, but they only finished 3rd with " Ring Ring". Björn Kristian Ulvaeus (; born 25 April 1945) is a Swedish musician, singer, songwriter, and producer best known as a member of the musical group ABBA. Lena Andersson (singer)
Lena Marianne Andersson (born 11 April 1955) is a Swedish singer, scoring several hits in the early 1970s. Andersson was signed at 15 years old as a Polar recording artist in 1971. Bengt-Arne Wallin (13 July 1926 – 23 November 2015) was a Swedish jazz composer, arranger, trumpeter, and flugelhorn player who played jazz influenced by Swedish traditional folk music. Britt Lindeborg (22 March 1928 – 5 August 1998) was a Swedish lyricist. She was born in Solna Municipality to Gunnar Karlsson and Elsa Sparring. Her greatest success was probably "Lyckliga gatan", a Swedish version of " Il ragazzo della via Gluck", performed by Anna-Lena Löfgren. Barbro Margareta Svensson (9 March 1938 – 3 April 2018), known by her stage name Lill-Babs, was a Swedish singer, actress and television host. Claes Dieden
Claes Ove Dieden (4 June 1942 – 11 March 2021) was a Swedish singer-songwriter, best known for his cover of "Da Doo Ron Ron" which became a hit in Sweden in 1969. Several of his compositions were recorded and saw commercial success by other groups. Biography Claes Dieden was born on 4 June 1942 in Stockholm, Sweden. He grew up in the neighborhood of Östermalm, where he'd largely remain for the rest of his life. He became interested in music and radio broadcasting from an early age which eventually landed him a job at national broadcaster Sveriges Radio in the early 1960s.
