Yomics
Yomics World, or 'Yomics' is the comic book division of Yash Raj Films Studios, specializing in creating comic books predominantly based on Yash Raj Films movies and suitable for readers of all ages. These comics are available across the print and digital platforms. It was founded by Uday Chopra in 2012. Launch Uday Chopra launched Yomics in July 2012 at YRF Studios in Mumbai. Uday Chopra
Uday Raj Chopra (born 5 January 1973) is an Indian actor and producer. He is the son of filmmaker Yash Chopra. He made his acting debut in the 2000 film ''Mohabbatein'' and featured in several other films including ''Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai'' (2002), ''Dhoom'' (2004), ''Dhoom 2'' (2006) and ''Dhoom 3'' (2013). Early life He is the son of director Yash Chopra and Pamela Chopra. His brother is filmmaker Aditya Chopra and his sister-in-law is the actress Rani Mukerji. Chopra worked as an assistant director on a number of his father's and brother's films under the Yash Raj Films banner. In July 2012, Chopra founded his own company, "Yomics World, Yomics", which creates comics based on Yash Raj Films. Career In 1994, Chopra produced ''Yeh Dillagi'' starring Akshay Kumar, Kajol and Saif Ali Khan. He made his acting debut in ''Mohabbatein'' (2000). Chitrakatha ''(lit: Picture Story'') or Indian comics are comics or graphic novels originating from India published in a number of Indian languages. India has a long tradition of comic readership and themes associated with extensive mythologies and folk-tales have appeared as children's comic books for decades. Indian comics often have large publication. The comic industry was at its peak in the late 1980s and early 1990s and during this period popular comics were easily sold more than 500,000 copies over the course of its shelf life of several weeks. Currently, it only sells around 50,000 copies over a similar period. Yash Raj Films (YRF) is an Indian film production and distribution company founded by filmmaker Yash Chopra in 1970. Since 2012, it has been led by his son Aditya Chopra.
