Yigal Bashan
Yigal Bashan ( he, יגאל בשן; September 11, 1950 – December 9, 2018) was an Israeli singer, songwriter, and actor. He was awarded the ACUM Prize for Life Achievement in 2016. Early life Born Yigal Bashari () in Rishon LeZion, Israel, to a family of Mizrahi Jewish (Yemenite-Jewish) descent. Music career Bashan was a member of the pop trio "Kmo Tzoanim" (Hebrew: "Like Gypsies") that appeared on the "Hopa Hey" Israeli children's television show. Rishon LeZion ( he, רִאשׁוֹן לְצִיּוֹן , ''lit.'' First to Zion, Arabic: راشون لتسيون) is a city in Israel, located along the central Israeli coastal plain south of Tel Aviv. It is part of the Gush Dan metropolitan area. Founded in 1882 by Jewish immigrants from the Russian Empire who were part of the First Aliyah, it was the first Zionist settlement founded in the Land of Israel by the New Yishuv and the second Jewish farm settlement established in Ottoman Syria in the 19th century, after Petah Tikva. Kiryat Shaul Cemetery
Kiryat Shaul Cemetery ( he, בית העלמין קריית שאול) is a 320- dunam (32 hectares) Jewish burial ground in Northern Tel Aviv near the neighborhood of Kiryat Shaul. On the east side of the cemetery is a large military cemetery. Founded in 1943, it includes more than 80,000 graves, including those of Israeli political and cultural figures.
