''Year of the Rain'' () is a 2010 Taiwanese television series. The director of the TV series is Chen Wei-ling (director), Chen Wei-ling. It is co-produced by Vanness Wu. Introduction ''Year of the Rain'' is the first TV series about the Typhoon Morakot disaster that happened in August, 2009 in Taiwan. It was directed by the director of ''Autumn's Concerto'', Chen Wei-ling (director), Chen Wei-ling, and produced by singer/actor Vanness Wu. This was his first production. The main actors are Jian Man Shu and Zhang Shu Hao. It also features Liu Shui-Chi, Isa Hsieh, Yu An-shun and Ding Qiang. ''Year of the Rain'' was created by the production team of ''Autumn's Concerto''. There are 6 episodes. Vanness Wu
Vanness Wu (; born August 7, 1978) is a Taiwanese-American singer and actor. He was a member of the Taiwanese boyband F4 (band), F4 and the Korean Mandopop duo Kangta & Vanness. Siaolin Village
Siaolin Village (), also spelled Xiaolin Village, is a village in Jiasian District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It is mostly agricultural and home to one of the largest communities of the Taivoan people. In 2009, Typhoon Morakot brought unprecedented rainfall to southern Taiwan, including Siaolin. A landslide dam upstream of Siaolin failed catastrophically, resulting in a devastating mudflow to completely cover the northern half of the village. 471 people lost their lives in the incident. Due to the influx of Siraya people in early 18th century to Yujin Basin, Taivoan people started to migrate from Tainan to Kaohsiung between 1722 and 1744. The 228 Peace Memorial Park () is a historic site and municipal park located at 3 Ketagalan Boulevard, Zhongzheng District, Taipei, Taiwan. Wu Pong-fong (; 2 November 1964 – 25 May 2020) was a Taiwanese actor and choreographer. Wu was born on 2 November 1964. His father was from Zhao'an County in Fujian. His parents married in 1950 and divorced when Wu was eight years old. He lived with his father in Sanchong District.
