Yang Min-hyeok
Yang Min-hyeok (; born 16 April 2006) is a South Korean footballer who plays as a forward or midfielder for club Tottenham Hotspur, and the South Korea national team. Club career In 2022, Yang joined Gangneung Jeil High School and started to play for the school's football club, an academy of Gangwon FC. Prior to the 2024 season, when he was just one year away from graduating, he was promoted to the senior team. He won the K League Player of the Month award for July 2024, becoming the youngest player to win the award. Tottenham Hotspur Yang signed a six-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur on 28 July 2024, to join the club in January 2025, allowing him to complete the 2024 K League 1 season with Gangwon. He spent part of December 2024 at the club's training ground, learning English. On 29 January 2025, Yang joined EFL Championship side Queens Park Rangers on loan for the remainder of the season. Gangwon FC () is a South Korean football club based in Gangwon Province. They joined the K League as its 15th club for the 2009 season. The club is sponsored by High1 Resort. History Gangwon Province's governor Kim Jin-sun announced a schedule for the foundation of the 15th professional football club to participate in the K League on 28 April 2008. A committee, the "Foundation of Football Club in Gangwon Preparation Committee", was organized on 18 June 2008 to facilitate the foundation. Preparations had advanced sufficiently that by 17 November 2008, 14 players had joined Gangwon FC in a first nomination. On 20 November 2008, Gangwon FC organized its first full squad, a total of 23 players, including nine players from the 2009 K League draft. The K League 1 () is a professional association football league in South Korea and the highest level of the South Korean football league system. The league is contested by twelve clubs.
