''Yahya El Hub'' (, French: ''Vive l'amour'') is a 1938 Egyptian drama film written, directed by Mohammed Karim. It stars Mohammed Abdel Wahab and Leila Mourad. Synopsis Mohamed Fathi rents a new apartment facing the palace of Taher Pasha, Nadia's father. A misunderstanding occurs between Fathi and Nadia. Then he discovers that she is the niece of his boss at work at Banque Misr. As soon as Nadia complains to him, he decides to move him to Beni Suef. Fathi discovers the truth about the misunderstanding, and they fall in love. In love, Nadia tries to request the cancellation of the transfer order. Mohammed Karim
Mohammed Karim (1896–1972) () was an Egyptian actor, film director, writer, and producer, and is considered one of the most prominent figures in Egyptian cinematic history. He is credited as the first Egyptian film actor. Biography Mohammed Karim was born on December 8, 1886, in Abdeen, Cairo. Karim's journey into cinema began in 1917 when he learned that Italy's first film company, the Italian Cinematographic Society (SITCIA), had come to Alexandria to make a film. Eager to be involved, he sent them thirty-six photos but was initially rejected due to his lack of proficiency in Italian and French. Six months later, after learning Italian, he sent eighty-six new photos and was given the chance for a screen test. Mohamed Abdel Wahab (), also transliterated ''Mehammad Abdelwehab'', (March 13, 1902 – May 4, 1991), was a prominent 20th-century Egyptian singer, actor, and composer. He is best known for his Romantic and Egyptian patriotic songs. Leila Mourad
Leila Mourad or Layla Morad (; February 17, 1918 – November 21, 1995) was an Egyptian singer and actress, and one of the most prominent superstars in Egypt and the entire Arab world in her era. Born Lilian Zaki Ibrahim Mourad to Jewish parents of Syrian and Moroccan descent in the El Daher District in Cairo, she later changed her name to Leila Mourad as a stage-name. Leila married three times and divorced three times. She died in 1995. Life Leila Mourad was born on February 17, 1918, to Zaki Mourad and Gamilah Ibrahim Roushou, the daughter of Ibrahim Roushou, a local concert contractor in the early 20th century who regularly booked Zaki Mourad to sing at concerts and wedding parties. Georges Benoît (27 November 1883 – 1942) was a French cinematographer who worked on more than sixty films during his career. During the silent era, he was employed mostly in Hollywood.
