Xi Opera
Xiju (), also known as Wuxi opera, is a genre of opera which originated in the southern region of the Yangtze River Delta in China. It evolved from "Tanhuang" (), a folk opera art in the region of Wuxi and Changzhou of Jiangsu province. As one of the main local operas in Jiangsu Province, Wuxi opera has been reputed as "a piece of plum flower in Taihu Lake", a title given to the three major operas in East China, alongside Yue opera and Huangmei opera. In May 1949, Wang Hanqing, Zou Peng, Wang Yuanyuan(actress), Wang Yuanyuan and others established the Red Star Tin Troupe in Shanghai. Taihu Lake
Taihu (), also known as Lake Tai or Lake Taihu, is a lake in the Yangtze Delta and the third largest freshwater lake in China. The lake is in Jiangsu province and a significant part of its southern shore forms its border with Zhejiang. With an area of and an average depth of , it is the third-largest freshwater lake entirely in China, after Poyang and Dongting. The lake contains about 90 islands, ranging in size from a few square meters to several square kilometers. An intangible cultural heritage (ICH) is a practice, representation, expression, knowledge, or skill considered by UNESCO to be part of a place's cultural heritage. Buildings, historic places, monuments, and artifacts are cultural property. Intangible heritage consists of nonphysical intellectual wealth, such as folklore, customs, beliefs, traditions, knowledge, and language. Intangible cultural heritage is considered by member states of UNESCO in relation to the tangible World Heritage focusing on intangible aspects of culture. Zou Peng (; born September 30, 1982, in Dalian) is a former Chinese football player. Club career Zou Peng began his professional career at Dalian Shide in 2000. He scored his first professional goal in the 2002 season against Sichuan Dahe. He suffered tore ligament in 2003, and was excluded from main squad. In 2005, he was loaned to Sichuan First City. In 2006, he returned to Dalian Shide, but did not have much appearances. By the end of the season, he sought for transfer to Wuhan Optics Valley, but the trade was unsuccessful. Huangmei Opera
Huangmei Opera or Huangmei tone ( or , pinyin: or ) is a form of Chinese opera originating from Anqing, Anhui province, as a form of rural folk song and dance. It is also referred to as Anhui Opera. It has been in existence for the last 200 years and possibly longer. Huangmei opera is one of the most famous and mainstream opera in China (others are Beijing opera, Yue opera, Ping opera and Yu opera), and is a class of the typical Anhui opera. The original Huangmei opera was sung by women in Anqing areas when they were picking tea, and the opera was called the ''Picking Tea Song''. In the late Qing dynasty, the songs were popular in Anhui Huaining County adjacent regions, combined with the local folk art, Anqing dialect with singing and chants, and gradually developed into a newborn's operas. Yue Opera
Yue opera (), also known as Shaoxing opera, is a popular Chinese opera genre, with only Peking opera considered to be more popular nationwide. Originating in Shengzhou, Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province in 1906, Yue opera features actresses in male roles as well as femininity in terms of singing, performing, and staging. Despite its rural origin, it has found a second home in Shanghai, China's most affluent city, where it managed to out-compete both Peking opera and the native Shanghai opera. As Yue opera is performed in a variant of Wu Chinese, Wu, it is most popular in Wu-speaking areas including southern Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai.
