Xbox Exhibition Disks
Xbox Exhibition was a game demo compilation series from Microsoft Game Studios to advertise and preview upcoming Xbox (console), Xbox games, featuring several playable game demos, game trailers, video content from G4 (U.S. TV channel), G4 TV, music videos, and music from Indie music, indie artists which were downloadable to the Xbox's hard drive. ''Exhibition'' discs were distributed at retail over seven volumes from 2002 to 2004. The discs are credited as an early iteration of the downloadable content model, with content including additional levels, roster updates for sports games and expanded game types. The Long Winters
The Long Winters are an American indie rock band based in Seattle, Washington. History Singer-songwriter John Roderick was born in Seattle, Washington, and grew up in Anchorage, Alaska. He later returned to Seattle, where he formed the Bun Family Players and The Western State Hurricanes. Following the disbandment of the latter, he was touring keyboardist for Harvey Danger. In 2001, Harvey Danger singer-songwriter Sean Nelson suggested that he and Roderick record an album—half of the songs penned by Roderick, and the other half by Nelson. Death Cab for Cutie band member Chris Walla had recently opened up the Hall of Justice studio in Seattle and agreed to help them record. The Dismemberment Plan
The Dismemberment Plan was a Washington, D.C. based indie rock band formed on January 1, 1993. Also known as D-Plan or The Plan, the name was derived from an industry phrase used by insurance salesman Ned Ryerson in the popular comedy ''Groundhog Day''. The band members included Eric Axelson (bass), Jason Caddell ( guitar), Joe Easley (drums), and Travis Morrison ( vocals and guitar). Axelson, Caddell, Morrison and original drummer Steve Cummings formed the band in college, knowing each other from attending northern Virginia high schools (Axelson, Cummings, and Morrison attended Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke, Virginia). Cummings left the band after the recording of their debut album '' !'' and was replaced by Easley, cementing the band's lineup.
