XXXTentacion was an American rapper who released four studio albums (two of which were posthumous releases), one compilation album (which was released posthumously), two mixtapes, four collaborative mixtapes (one of which was a posthumous release), ten extended plays and 29 singles (including eight as a featured artist). As of June 2018, he sold more than 25 million album-equivalent units in the United States. XXXTentacion was awarded for sales of over 20 million records by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Background This song was previewed on Twitter on May 9 before the death of his friend, Jocelyn Flores (person), Jocelyn Flores, who committed suicide on May 14. Murder Of XXXTentacion
On June 18, 2018, 20-year-old American rapper and singer-songwriter Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, known professionally as XXXTentacion, was murdered in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Onfroy was fatally shot and killed by 22-year-old Michael Boatwright after being robbed in his car by Boatwright and his accomplices Trayvon Newsome, Dedrick Williams, and Robert Allen outside RIVA Motorsports, an upscale dealership of motorcycles and watercraft in Deerfield Beach. Authorities charged the four men with first-degree murder and robbery with a firearm.
