XXXTentacion was an American rapper who released four studio albums (two of which were posthumous releases), one compilation album (which was released posthumously), two mixtapes, four collaborative mixtapes (one of which was a posthumous release), ten extended plays and 29 singles (including eight as a featured artist). As of June 2018, he sold more than 25 million album-equivalent units in the United States. XXXTentacion was awarded for sales of over 20 million records by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). As of October 2020, he has sold more than 75 million records in the United States. Tentacion released his first track "News/Flock" in June 2013 on SoundCloud. "Revenge", originally titled as "Garrette's Revenge", is a song written, produced, and performed by American rapper XXXTentacion, released on May 18, 2017, by Bad Vibes Forever and Empire Distribution as the lead single from his debut studio album ''17 (XXXTentacion album), 17''. Background This song was previewed on Twitter on May 9 before the death of his friend, Jocelyn Flores (person), Jocelyn Flores, who committed suicide on May 14. XXXTentacion dedicated the song to her after her death. In the description of the song on SoundCloud, it says, "I love you Garette, rest in peace Jocelyn, I will have my revenge upon the world." On June 18, 2018, 20-year-old American rapper and singer-songwriter Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, known professionally as XXXTentacion, was murdered in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Onfroy was fatally shot and killed by 22-year-old Michael Boatwright after being robbed in his car by Boatwright and his accomplices Trayvon Newsome, Dedrick Williams, and Robert Allen outside RIVA Motorsports, an upscale dealership of motorcycles and watercraft in Deerfield Beach.
