''Write It on Your Skin'' is the third album by British singer-songwriter Newton Faulkner, which was released on 9 July 2012. The title track " Write It on Your Skin" was released as the first single from the album, shortly followed by "Clouds". Reviews The BBC gave a generally positive review of the album, describing it as "a late-night cocoa after a long day" - neither shocking nor amazing. ''Pick Up Your Broken Heart'' was felt to be inferior to similar heartbreak-oriented songs while ''Longshot'' was positively reviewed as a simple yet bullishly focused song. MusicOMH gave a mixed review of 2.5 stars, indicating that while the album had excellent lyrics and vocals, it also lacked any substantive change in nature from Faulkner's previous albums. Sam Newton Battenberg Faulkner (born 11 January 1985) is an English singer-songwriter and musician from Reigate, Surrey. He is known for his percussive style of guitar playing. In 2007 Faulkner's debut studio album ''Hand Built by Robots'' was certified double platinum in the United Kingdom. The album topped the UK Albums Chart in August 2007. It was promoted by three singles, "Dream Catch Me", "I Need Something" and "Teardrop (song)#Newton Faulkner, Teardrop". "Dream Catch Me" reached number seven on the UK Singles Charts. Sam Farrar
Sam John Farrar (born June 29, 1978) is an American musician. He is best known as a member of the pop band Maroon 5, in which he plays several instruments, primarily bass guitar. A frequent collaborator with the band since the 1990s, he joined as a touring member in 2012 and was promoted to an official member in 2017. He has also been the bassist for the rock band Phantom Planet since their formation in 1994. Title Regarding the album's title, Faulkner stated: It's an accident I had, where I basically broke my wrist on Boxing Day, five days before I was meant to start recording the second album. So it was like a really proper close call and they used a rather large metal plate, in fact they were using the x-ray as part of at the artwork, when you take the CD out of the case it's going to be behind that. ''Studio Zoo'' is the fourth studio album by British singer-songwriter Newton Faulkner, and the first album he has produced himself. Its recording, which took place in June and July 2013 at Faulkner's home, was streamed live online. The album was released on 26 August 2013. Recording The recording of ''Studio Zoo'' was being streamed live online, 24/7 for 5 weeks from 11 June 2013. His home studio in East London was set up with 4 cameras, to allow fans to follow every detail of recording the album – with no producer or engineer, only Faulkner and a few guests, such as ''The X Factors Janet Devlin and Ted Dwane (of Mumford & Sons). Fans were also able to follow regular updates on the social networks, such as Facebook and Twitter. The campaign used the hashtag #StudioZoo which allowed users tweets to play sounds in Faulkner's house. The campaign concluded in a party at Faulkner's house with a set jungle. Thomas Leeb (born 14 September 1977 in Klagenfurt, Austria) is an Austrian fingerstyle guitarist. Biography Thomas Leeb grew up in the small Austrian mountain village Turracher Höhe, Carinthia, as the youngest of four children of a hotel-owner's family. Over a period of thirteen years he taught himself the electric guitar, then switched to acoustic guitar. He was fifteen when he decided to become a musician and had his first concerts, even though his parents made him finish high school. He produced his first CD ''Reveller'' (now out of print) when he was seventeen. After high school he toured Ireland for four months as street musician. In 1997 he recorded his second CD ''Hope'' (out of print) and finished third in the 1998 Open Strings Festival in Osnabrück, Germany.
