Below are the results of season five of the World Poker Tour (2006–2007). Following on from his win in the 2001 World Series of Poker Main Event Carlos Mortensen won the 2007 WPT Championship. This meant he became the first player to win both the World Series of Poker Main Event and WPT Championship. World Poker Tour
The World Poker Tour (WPT) is an internationally televised gaming and entertainment brand. Since 2002, the World Poker Tour has operated a series of international poker tournaments and associated television series broadcasting playdown and the final table of each tournament. The most prominent of World Poker Tour events belong to the WPT Main Tour. The WPT Main Tour focuses on the buy-in range of $3,500–$25,000, and winners of official WPT Main Tour events are awarded a membership to the World Poker Tour Champions Club, WPT Champions Club. Frankie O'Dell
Frankie O'Dell is an American professional poker player residing in Long Beach, California. He has won three World Series of Poker bracelets in Omaha Hi-Lo Split. His first win came in the 2003 World Series of Poker in the $1,500 event, his second in the $2,000 event in 2007, and the third in the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo Championship in 2019. O'Dell is the only player to have won three WSOP Omaha Hi-Lo events. Bellagio ( ) is a resort, luxury hotel, and casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It is owned by Blackstone Inc. and operated by MGM Resorts International. David Sklansky (born December 22, 1947) is an American professional poker player and author. An early writer on poker strategy, he is known for his mathematical approach to the game. His key work ''The Theory of Poker'' presents fundamental principles on which much later analysis is based.
