Women Of Honor
Women of Honor is a term used by Ring of Honor (ROH) to refer to its women's division and to the promotion's female talent. The term is applied universally to wrestlers, backstage interviewers, and managers/valets. History of women in Ring of Honor Early years and partnership with Shimmer (2002–2011) ROH had its first women's match on June 22, 2002, at its Road to the Title show; it saw Sumie Sakai defeat Simply Luscious. Women's wrestling was sporadically featured in ROH since the match. During the 2000s, ROH featured female wrestlers like Sara Del Rey, Daizee Haze, Serena Deeb, MsChif, Amazing Kong, Ashley Lane, Nevaeh, Allison Danger, Lacey, Taeler Hendrix, Mercedes Martinez and others on shows, later releasing a DVD featuring the best of its women's division. Women Of Honor World Championship
The Women of Honor World Championship was a women's professional wrestling championship created and promoted by the American professional wrestling promotion Ring of Honor (ROH). History At Final Battle, December 15, 2017, it was announced that a tournament to crown the first Women of Honor Championship holder would start on January 20, 2018. The tournament featured female ROH regulars, called the ROH Women of Honor and female wrestlers from then ROH partnered all Japanese female wrestling promotion from Japan World Wonder Ring Stardom (Stardom) as well. On April 7, 2018, Sumie Sakai became the inaugural champion by defeating Kelly Klein in the 16-women tournament finals at Supercard of Honor XII in New Orleans, LA. Taeler Conrad-Mellen (born June 7, 1989), is an American retired Professional wrestling, professional wrestler and Manager (professional wrestling), valet, better known by the ring name Taeler Hendrix. Matthew Marinelli (born March 20, 1985), known by his ring name, Matt Taven, is an American professional wrestler and wrestling trainer. He is signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and its sister promotion, Ring of Honor (ROH), where he is one-half of The Kingdom with Mike Bennett. Michael Bennett (born May 16, 1985) is an American professional wrestler. He is signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and its sister promotion Ring of Honor (ROH), where he is one-half of The Kingdom with Matt Taven. is a Japanese retired professional wrestler. After being trained by Taka Michinoku, she started her career in his Kaientai Dojo promotion in September 2004.
