Womad (website)
WOMAD ( ko, 워마드) is a radical feminist online community based in South Korea. It has been criticized for anti-male sentiment. It split from Megalia, another feminist online community based in South Korea. Overview WOMAD split from Megalia on January 22, 2016. "WOMAD" is a combination of the words "woman" and "nomad". It formed due to Megalia issuing a ban on the use of certain explicit slurs against gay men and transgender people. This change in policy led to the migration of anti-LGBT members. WOMAD users respond to discrimination against women in South Korea by "mirroring" it against men. According to experts, this is a reaction to Ilbe Storage, a right-wing website that is also based in South Korea. The website has contributed to an anti-feminist backlash in South Korea. WOMAD
WOMAD ( ; World of Music, Arts and Dance) is an international arts festival. The central aim of WOMAD is to celebrate the world's many forms of music, arts and dance. History WOMAD was founded in 1980 by English rock musician Peter Gabriel, with Thomas Brooman, Bob Hooton, Mark Kidel, Stephen Pritchard, Martin Elbourne and Jonathan Arthur. Original designers were Steve Byrne and Valerie Hawthorn. The first WOMAD festival was in Shepton Mallet, UK in 1982. Park Geun-hye
Park Geun-hye (; ; often in English ; born 2 February 1952) is a South Korean politician who served as the 11th president of South Korea from 2013 to 2017, until she was impeached and convicted on related corruption charges. Kakao ( ko, 카카오) is a South Korean internet company that was established in 2010. It formed as a result of a merger between Daum Communications and the original Kakao Inc. In 2014, the company was renamed Daum Kakao. The company rebranded once more in 2015, reverting simply to ''Kakao''. In May 2015, the company acquired Path, an American social media company that had become successful in Indonesia.
