Wodonga Saints Football Club
The Wodonga Saints Football Netball Club is an Australian rules football and netball club playing their home games at Martin Park in Wodonga, Victoria, Australia. Originally established as the Bethanga Football Club in 1907, with the club was based at the Bethanga Park Recreation Reserve, Bethanga, Victoria, Australia up until 2001. Following the 1999 Victorian Country Football League report that stated a number of clubs, including Bethanga, were on the verge of collapsing if some kind of action was not taken. After playing a handful of matches at Wodonga's Martin Park to see if there would be enough local support to support the club moving there, the club made the decision in 2002 and Bethanga FC relocated fully to Martin Park, Wodonga & were renamed as the Wodonga Saints Football Club. Tallangatta & District Football League
The Tallangatta and District Football League (TDFL) is an Australian rules football competition in north-eastern Victoria (state), Victoria and the southern border area of the Riverina region of New South Wales. The clubs compete across four competitions, two of which are age restricted (under-17s and under-14s). Since 1980, the Tallangatta & District Netball Association (TDNA) has run in conjunction with TDFL. The clubs compete across six competitions, three of which are age restricted (18 & Under, 15 & Under, and 13 & Under). Today all of the 12 clubs across both the TDFL & TDNA are joint football–netball clubs, with the overall best club across all football and netball competitions for the season awarded the Club Championship. Yackandandah & District Football League
The Yackandandah & District Football Association was a minor rural Australian Rules Football competition in North Eastern Victoria. The competition ran from 1928 to 1932, 1940, then from 1946 to 1953, when it folded in early 1954. History There was a Yackandandah Football Association established in 1912 amongst the following clubs - Dederang, Yackandandah and Tawonga - with Dederang taking out the premiership. in 1928, the Yackandandah & District Football Association was formed and Mr. Fred Malcomson, from the Star Hotel, Yackandandah, decided to donate a trophy to the premiers. In 1933, the Yackandandah & DFA disbanded and the Tallangatta & District Football Association was formed from the following clubs - Bethanga, Granya, Kiewa Valley, Mitta Valley and Tallangatta. Clarrie "Dido" Morelli (6 October 1906 – 19 May 1997), whose paternal grandfather was Italian-born, was an Australian rules footballer who played with Collingwood in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Morelli made the final list at Collingwood in 1926 but played out the season with the Fairfield Football Club Morelli played seven senior VFL games in 1927, debuting against Richmond in round three, and played in the Collingwood reserves in 1928. The Hume Australian Football Netball League (HFNL), often shortened to Hume Football League, is an Australian rules football and netball competition containing twelve clubs based in the South West Slopes and southern Riverina regions of New South Wales, Australia.
