The GP2X Wiz is a handheld game console and portable media player developed by South Korean company GamePark Holdings running a Linux kernel-based embedded operating system. GP2X Wiz was released in May 2009, and was the first console from both Game Park and Game Park Holdings to also be released outside South Korea. It was announced by GamePark Holdings in August 2008, and succeeded the GP2X, featuring a slimmer profile and enhanced capabilities including a 533 MHz CPU (overclockable to 900 MHz), 1 GB NAND flash memory, 64 MB RAM, and a 2.8-inch AMOLED touchscreen. WIZZ (1520 AM) is a radio station licensed to Greenfield, Massachusetts. It is owned by Saga Communications and operates as part of its Western Mass Radio Group. It broadcasts an oldies radio format, switching to Christmas music in the weeks leading up to Christmas. By day, WIZZ transmits with 1,000 watts. As 1520 AM is a clear channel frequency, WIZZ reduces power at night to 160 watts to protect other stations from interference. Programming is also heard on FM translator W263DE at 100.5 MHz in Greenfield. History The station signed on the air on August 26, 1980. Jarkko Oikarinen (born 16 August 1967) is a Finnish IT professional and the inventor of the first Internet chat network, called Internet Relay Chat (IRC), where he is known as WiZ. Biography and career Oikarinen was born in Kuusamo. While working at the University of Oulu in August 1988, he wrote the first IRC server and client programs, which he produced to replace the MUT (MultiUser Talk) program on the Finnish BBS OuluBox.
