''Wired to the Moon'' is the sixth studio album by British singer-songwriter Chris Rea, released in 1984. The album reached No. 35 on the UK album charts. Three singles were released. " I Don't Know What It Is But I Love It" peaked at No. 65 on the UK Singles Chart, "Touché d'Amour" reached No. 86, and "Ace of Hearts" peaked at No. 79. The latter was re-released in 1985 and climbed one position higher, to No. 78. Chris Rea
Christopher Anton Rea ( ; born 4 March 1951) is a British Rock music, rock and blues singer-songwriter and guitarist from Middlesbrough. Known for his distinctive voice and his slide guitar playing, Rea has recorded twenty-five studio albums, two of which topped the UK Albums Chart: ''The Road to Hell'' in 1989 and its successor, ''Auberge (album), Auberge'', in 1991. He had already become "a major European star by the time he finally cracked the UK Top 10" with the single "The Road to Hell (song), The Road to Hell (Part 2)". Jerry Stevenson (musician)
Jerry Stevenson, (born in Kent, England) is an English guitar and mandolin player who has worked with Barbara Dickson, Procol Harum and is currently a member of Be Sharp. Career In 1991, Procol Harum re-formed and began recording a new album called '' The Prodigal Stranger''. Bass player Dave Bronze had already been recruited by the band, and when they were looking for an extra guitarist, Bronze recruited Stevenson. At this stage it was known that Robin Trower, a founding member of the band for their first five albums, would be rejoining the band for The Prodigal Stranger, and Stevenson said at procolharum.com that he made sure that he was always 'leaving space for Robin'. Stevenson was mentioned as a session player in the liner notes of ''The Prodigal Stranger'', but there is no audible evidence that his work on that album was ever actually released, nor did he ever tour with the band. Fretless Bass
A fretless bass is an electric bass guitar whose neck lacks frets and thus is smooth like traditional string instruments, and like the neck of an acoustic double bass. While the fretless bass is played in all styles of music, it is most common in pop, rock, and jazz. It first saw widespread use during the 1970s, although some players used them before then. It was written by Rea, and produced by Rea and Dave Richards. The song failed to make a chart appearance on the UK Singles Chart but reached No. 21 on the Irish Singles Chart. "Ace of Hearts" is a song by British singer-songwriter Chris Rea, which was released by Magnet in 1984 as the fourth and final single from his sixth studio album ''Wired to the Moon''. Records in 1988 for an estimated £10m.
