Winston Peters
Winston Raymond Peters (born 11 April 1945) is a New Zealand politician. He has led the political party New Zealand First since he founded it in 1993, and since November 2023 has served as the 25th Minister of Foreign Affairs (New Zealand), minister of Foreign Affairs. A long-serving Member of Parliament (New Zealand), member of Parliament (MP), Peters was re-elected for a fifteenth time at the 2023 New Zealand general election, 2023 general election, having previously been an MP from 1979 to 1981, 1984 to 2008 and 2011 to 2020. He served as the 13th Deputy Prime Minister of New Zealand, deputy prime minister of New Zealand from November 2023 to May 2025. The Minister for Rail, formerly the Minister of Railways, is a minister in the New Zealand Government. The minister is responsible for KiwiRail, the state-owned enterprise that operates the national rail network and the Interislander ferry service. George Groombridge
George Groombridge (9 February 1928 – 26 March 2022) was a New Zealand politician and social worker. He was president of the New Zealand First Party between 2006 and 2010. Groombridge was a senior social worker from Masterton. He became vice-president of New Zealand First in 2004 and subsequently replaced Dail Jones as president in 2006. Dail Michael John Jones (born 7 July 1944) is a New Zealand politician. He has been a member of the New Zealand First party, and was formerly in the National Party. Early life Jones was born in Karachi, British India, and attended St Joseph's College Quetta and Garrison School, Quetta and Karachi Grammar School. He and his mother arrived in New Zealand in 1960, and he completed his education at St Paul's College, Auckland, and the University of Auckland, from where he earned an LLB.
