Windsor railway station is a heritage-listed suburban railway station located on the Richmond line, serving the Sydney suburb of Windsor. It is served by Sydney Trains T1 Western Line and T5 Cumberland Line services. The property was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. History Windsor station opened on 1 December 1864 coinciding with that of the Richmond line. It was constructed by W & A Elphinstone. The original station building was a combination residence and office, as were built at Riverstone railway station and Mulgrave railway station on the same line. This was purchased and relocated to be converted into a private home in Milhelm Street. A major upgrade of most stations on the line occurred in the 1880s, including Windsor. Windsor Station is an office building and former railway station in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It used to be the city's Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) station, and served as the headquarters of CPR from 1889 to 1996. It is bordered by Avenue des Canadiens-de-Montréal to the north, Peel Street to the east, Saint Antoine Street to the south and the Bell Centre to the west. Windsor was a train station in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The station was built by the Michigan Central Railroad in 1911 and subsequently controlled by the Canada Southern Railway. The station served Canada Southern Railway and New York Central trains. Windsor also has another railroad station in town. Through most of its decades, and into the latter 1960s, the station served New York Central passenger trains over a New York–Buffalo–Windsor–Detroit–Jackson–Chicago route: the ''Empire State Express'' and the ''Wolverine.'' It also served trains bound for a slightly more northerly route east: to London, Toronto and Montreal: the New York Central-Canadian Pacific pooled train, the ''Canadian'' (later renamed the ''Canadian-Niagara''). It is down the line from and is the terminus of the Staines to Windsor Line, served by South Western Railway. Windsor railway station was on the Belfast Central Railway which ran from Ulster (later Belfast Central) Junction on the Ulster Railway to Ballymacarrett Junction on the Belfast and County Down Railway, through central Belfast, Ireland. History The Belfast Central Railway was built in 1875 to connect the three railway lines in Belfast (the Ulster Railway, the Belfast and County Down Railway (BCDR) and the Belfast and Northern Counties Railway (BNCR)). It branched off from the Ulster Railway (later the Great Northern Railway Ireland (GNRI) at Ulster Junction, and ran for 1½ miles to Queen's Bridge, with a branch from East Bridge Street Junction to the BCDR at Ballymacarrett Junction. Windsor station is a Sonoma–Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) station in Windsor, California. It opened for SMART service on May 31, 2025. Prior to that, it was in operation from to 1958 by the Northwestern Pacific Railroad, and was then a bus station served by Sonoma County Transit. History The station building was built by the Northwestern Pacific Railroad in the early 1900s. The station last closed to passenger service after November 10, 1958. It is served by Amtrak and intercity service and CT Rail's Hartford Line commuter rail service. The nearby Hartford & New Haven Railroad-Freight Depot serves as the home of the Windsor Arts Center.
