Göltzsch Viaduct
The Göltzsch Viaduct (German: ''Göltzschtalbrücke'', ) is a railway bridge in Germany. It is the largest brick-built bridge in the world, and for a time it was the tallest railway bridge in the world. It spans the valley of the Göltzsch River between the Reichenbach im Vogtland district of Mylau and the adjacent town of Netzschkau in the German Free State of Saxony. It was built between 1846 and 1851 as part of the railway between Saxony (Leipzig, Zwickau, and Plauen) and Bavaria ( Hof and Nuremberg). It is currently part of the Leipzig–Hof line, near the Netzschkau station. About south, the smaller Elster Viaduct was built for the same line and is quite similar to the Göltzsch Viaduct. The Stoosbahn, also known as the Schwyz–Stoos funicular or ''Standseilbahn Schwyz–Stoos'', is a funicular railway in the Swiss canton of Schwyz. It connects the Hintere Schlattli in the municipalities of Muotatal, Morschach, and Schwyz with the village and mountain resort of Stoos, above Morschach. On a length of 1.7 kilometres (1.1 mi), it overcomes a height difference of 744 metres (2,441 ft). Castle Howard Railway Station
Castle Howard railway station was a minor railway station serving the village of Welburn-on-Derwent, Welburn and the stately home at Castle Howard in North Yorkshire, England. On the York to Scarborough Line it was opened on 5 July 1845 by the York and North Midland Railway. The architect was George Townsend Andrews. It closed to passenger traffic on 22 September 1930 but continued to be staffed until the 1950s for small volumes of freight and parcels. The station was often used by the aristocracy, notably Queen Victoria when she visited Castle Howard, with Albert, Prince Consort, Prince Albert, as a guest of the George Howard, 9th Earl of Carlisle, Earl of Carlisle in August 1850. The Hungerburgbahn is a hybrid funicular railway in Innsbruck, Austria, connecting the city district of Hungerburg with the city centre. The current line opened on 1 December 2007, replacing a previous alignment that operated from 1906 to 2005.
