William Angus (Australian Politician)
William Angus (4 June 1871 – 15 May 1965) was a Scottish-born Australian politician and farmer. Angus was born in Keithhall, Aberdeenshire, Scotland and was educated at the University of Aberdeen, gaining a B.Sc. (Agriculture) in 1900. He arrived in South Australia in 1904 and became professor (later director) of agriculture and secretary to the minister of agriculture. After a year of farming, Angus was elected to the South Australian House of Assembly as member for Electoral district of Victoria and Albert, Victoria and Albert from February 1912 to May 1915 and as member for Electoral district of Albert (South Australia), Albert May 1915 to April 1921. Angus was chairman of committees in 1920 and secretary of the parliamentary Liberal Party. Richard Alfred O'Connor
Richard Alfred O'Connor (18 September 1880 – 3 March 1941) was an Australian politician. He was a Liberal Union member of the South Australian House of Assembly from 1915 to 1921, representing the multi-member seat of Albert. Early life and career O'Connor was born at Cradock and educated at Christian Brothers' College, but was raised at Hawker, where he was the son of the local storekeeper. He continued the family business (P. O'Connor & Son) for several years upon the death of his father. He was secretary of the Hawker Vigilance Committee, treasurer of the Hawker Gymnasium Club, a member of the Hawker Institute Committee and a regular lap steward for local horseracing. The Hawker business was sold in 1907, at which time O'Connor relocated to Lameroo and began operating the general store there. He was made a justice of the peace in 1908. Archibald Peake
Archibald Henry Peake (15 January 1859 – 6 April 1920) was an Australian politician. He was Premier of South Australia on three occasions: from 1909 to 1910 for the Liberal and Democratic Union, and from 1912 to 1915 and 1917 to 1920 for its successor, the Liberal Union. He had also been Treasurer and Attorney-General in the Price-Peake coalition government from 1905 to 1909. Early life and career Peake's family migrated from Chelsea, London in 1862, initially settled in Victoria, before moving to South Australia two years later. Peake was educated at state schools under his father, but in later life widened his education by studying in English history and literature. William Senior (9 February 1850 – 22 November 1926) was an English-born Australian politician. He was an Australian Labor Party member of the South Australian House of Assembly from 1904 to 1912. He was then a member of the Australian Senate from 1913 to 1922; he was first elected as a Labor Senator but left the party in the 1916 Labor split over conscription and thereafter represented the Nationalist Party. Senior was born in Holmfirth in Yorkshire, England. His family migrated to South Australia when he was five years old, settling in Willunga before relocating to Mount Gambier in 1858.
