Wiel Coerver
Wiel Coerver (; 3 December 1924 – 22 April 2011) was a Dutch football manager and the developer of the "Coerver Method", a football coaching technique. Playing career Coerver played five years for local side Rapid JC, with whom he won the Dutch league title in 1956. Managerial career After retiring as a player, he managed Dutch clubs S.V.N., Rapid JC, Sparta, N.E.C., Feyenoord and Go Ahead Eagles as well as Indonesia. He won the UEFA Cup with Feyenoord Rotterdam in the 1973–1974 season as well as the Eredivisie title. Coerver Method The Coerver Method is a football coaching technique which Coerver created. By analysing videotapes of various great players including Pelé, he devised his concept which advocates that skill could not only be inherent with the young players but could also be passed on in a comprehensive academic manner. The UEFA Europa League (UEL), usually known simply as the Europa League, is an annual football club competition organised since 1971 by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) for eligible European football clubs. Foppe De Haan
Foppe Geert de Haan (, born 26 June 1943) is a Dutch football coach. He is known for his long association with Frisian club Heerenveen. De Haan was the manager of the Tuvalu national team during 2011 and then rejoined Heerenveen's youth programme. He is also a politician for the Partij van de Arbeid. Career De Haan was born in Lippenhuizen, Friesland. He started his managerial career in 1974 with VV Akkrum. After two years, he combined this role with the youth team manager's position at Heerenveen. By 1978, he had become the manager for Drachtster Boys. He then moved to ACV in 1980, and to Steenwijk in 1983. In 1985, de Haan re-joined Heerenveen, this time as an assistant coach. He continued to spend the next 20 years with the club—the longest time a coach worked for a Dutch professional football club. De Haan was promoted to become the head coach in 1992. Piet de Visser (born 23 September 1934) is a Dutch football manager and scout. He is best known for scouting players like Ronaldo and successfully bringing them to Europe. He is currently a personal adviser to Roman Abramovich, the former owner of English Premier League club Chelsea. Career Manager After a career as a player for De Zeeuwen, RCH and Zeeland Sport, De Visser became involved in management. In 1957, he started as a youth and assistant manager at Sparta Rotterdam. In 1964, he took his first assignment as a head manager at DFC and became champion of the second division in his first year. In 1973, while manager of De Graafschap, he and his club (which included defender Guus Hiddink) were promoted to the Eredivisie. The 1973–74 UEFA Cup was the third season of the UEFA Cup, the third-tier club football competition organised by UEFA. The final was played over two legs at White Hart Lane, London, England, and at De Kuip, Rotterdam, the Netherlands. It was won by Feyenoord of the Netherlands, who defeated Tottenham Hotspur of England by an aggregate result of 4–2 to claim their first UEFA Cup title.
