Giles is a single-member electoral district for the South Australian House of Assembly. Named after explorer Ernest Giles, it is the largest electorate in the state by area, covering of South Australian outback. Middleback Range is a locality in the Australian state of South Australia located in the north east corner of Eyre Peninsula to the south-west of the city of Whyalla and extending from the coastline of Spencer Gulf in the east to the west side of the southern end of the Middleback Range in the west. Whyalla Norrie is a suburb of Whyalla on the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia. It was gazetted as a distinct suburb in 1967, and had its boundaries altered in 1975 and 2000. It is bounded by Iron Knob Road, Norrie Avenue, Broadbent Terrace and MacDouall Stuart Avenue. It is part of the City of Whyalla. Mullaquana is a suburb in the Australian state of South Australia located immediately adjoining the southern side of the city of Whyalla in the north east corner of Eyre Peninsula. The locality is bounded by Lincoln Highway to its northern side, the suburb of Whyalla to the east and by and the Spencer Gulf coastline to the south east. Its boundaries were established in June 2000 and revised again in 2011. Its name is derived from Mullaquana Road which is located within the locality and was selected instead of “Eight Mile Creek” in order to avoid confusion with a locality in the south east of South Australia. Middleback Range
The Middleback Range is a mountain range on the eastern side of Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. The Middleback Range has been a source of iron ore for over a century, particularly to feed the Whyalla Steelworks. Mines in the region were first developed by BHP from the 1890s and are now owned and operated by Liberty House Group. Geography The Middleback Range extends from Iron Knob at the northern end near the Eyre Highway to the Lincoln Highway, halfway between Whyalla and Cowell at its southern extent. The Ironstone Hill Conservation Park is immediately west of the southern part of the ranges. Geology The Middleback Range is part of the Cleve Subdomain of the Gawler Craton. Lincoln Highway is a highway in South Australia which links the cities of Port Augusta and Port Lincoln located on the east coast of Eyre Peninsula over a distance of . Stuart High School (Whyalla)
Stuart High School was a high school in the city of Whyalla, Australia, on the east coast of the Eyre Peninsula. Stuart High School was part of an Alliance of schools in Whyalla, including Whyalla High School (8–10) and Edward John Eyre High School (11–12), plus close collaboration with the numerous primary schools in Whyalla. The school's Aquaculture program is now part of the Eyre Peninsula Seafood and Aquaculture Trial, where tourist can come and visit the complex, and even feed the fish. Stuart High School also participates in the annual "Fishy Fringe" snapper competition, held over Easter in Whyalla, where smoked fish is sold to the public in the school's stall down at the foreshore.
