Brian Whittaker
Brian Whittaker (23 September 1956 – 7 September 1997) was a Scottish professional footballer who played for Partick Thistle, Celtic, Heart of Midlothian and Falkirk. Career Left-back Whittaker came to prominence whilst playing over 350 games for Partick Thistle in all competitions between 1974 and 1983, eventually becoming one of manager David Hay's first signings for Celtic in August 1983 for a fee of £50,000. In May 1984 he was sold to Hearts for £25,000 and spent six years as a player at Tynecastle Park. Whittaker was an integral part of the Hearts team which was pipped to the league title by Celtic in the last minutes of the 1985–86 Scottish Premier Division season, and also played on the losing side in the losing 1986 Scottish Cup Final. Whittaker spent some time at Falkirk before returning to Hearts as a coach, then moving on to working as an agent. He was killed in a car crash on Sunday 7 September 1997. Foswhitt Jer'ald "Fozzy" Whittaker (born February 2, 1989) is an American former professional football player and current college football color analyst. Whittaker was a running back and kick returner for six seasons in the National Football League (NFL). Whittaker entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2012 with the Arizona Cardinals and spent his rookie year as a member of the Cardinals' practice squad. Whittaker spent the 2013 season on the rosters of the Cleveland Browns and San Diego Chargers. Whittaker signed with the Carolina Panthers during the 2014 off-season and played with the Panthers from 2014 to 2018. Esmé Whittaker
Esmé Whittaker is a British art historian and curator of art collections at English Heritage. Whittaker attended the University of Bristol, obtaining a bachelor's degree in art. She received a master's degree, and then a doctorate from the Courtauld Institute of Art for her dissertation ''The Arts and Crafts house in the Lake District: buildings, landscapes and communities'', under the supervision of Professor Caroline Arscott. This work elucidated the influence of William Wordsworth and John Ruskin on the Arts and Crafts houses in the Lake District, and has been lauded. Her book, co-written with Matthew Hyde, ''Arts and Crafts Houses in the Lake District'' won the 2015 Bookends Prizes for Arts and Literature. A. Dale Whittaker (born August 13, 1961) is an American academic and senior program officer at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He was the fifth president of the University of Central Florida. He succeeded former president John Hitt in 2018, but resigned less than a year later after an investigation of the university for “misuse or planned misuse of nearly $85 million in operating funds for construction.” He was later found to be not involved in the misuse of funds.
