UK Singles Sales Chart
The UK Singles Sales Chart is a weekly record chart compiled by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on behalf of the British record industry. The UK Singles Sales Chart differs from the UK Singles Chart (also known as the Official Singles Chart) in that it counts "physical" sales only (including downloads), whereas the Official Chart also counts streaming. Since 10 July 2015, the chart week has run from Friday to Thursday with the chart-date given as the following Thursday; prior to this, the chart week ran from Sunday to Saturday, with the chart date given as the following Saturday. Some downloading services offer a monthly fee plan where generally an unlimited number of tracks can be downloaded within a month for a certain price. Tracks downloaded in those instances do not qualify. An album equivalent, the UK Album Downloads Chart, was launched in April 2006. History Before the inauguration of the download chart, only sales of physical formats—such as CD single, CD, gramophone record, vinyl and cassette tape—contributed towards a single's position on the UK music c ...

UK Independent Singles And Album Breakers Charts
The UK Independent Singles Breakers Chart and the UK Independent Album Breakers Chart are music charts based on UK sales of singles and albums released on independent record labels by musical artists who have never made the UK top 40. It is compiled weekly by the Official Charts Company (OCC), and is first published on their official website on Friday evenings. The chart was first launched on 29 June 2009, and, according to Martin Talbot, managing director of the OCC, would have benefited acts such as Friendly Fires and Grizzly Bear. History The UK Indie Breakers Chart runs alongside the similar UK Indie Chart. The UK Indie Chart was created in 1978 by Cherry Red Records founder Iain McNay, and, like the breakers chart, lists only albums and singles released by independent record labels in the UK. Until June 2009, a single was classed as "indie" if it was shipped by a distribution service that was independent of the four major record companies: EMI, Sony Music Entertainment, ...

Oricon Combined Singles Chart
The is a record chart released weekly by Oricon, a major provider of information on the Japanese music industry. First published on December 24, 2018, it ranks the top fifty singles in Japan based on an album-equivalent unit system factoring physical CD sales, digital downloads, and streaming. It competes with the ''Billboard Japan'' Billboard Japan Hot 100, Hot 100. Until 2015, Oricon only released charts based on physical CD sales. In the 2010s, this chart was largely dominated by idol groups such as AKB48, who had many customers purchasing their singles for bundled goods instead of the songs. The lack of accuracy in what songs received the most listens resulted in Oricon losing popularity to ''Billboard Japan'' multi-factored charts. Oricon established the Oricon Digital Singles Chart, Digital Singles Chart in 2016, which only counted digital downloads. Alongside a streaming-only and the Oricon Combined Albums Chart, Combined Albums Charts, the Combined Singles Chart was subseq ...
