''Where Did the Night Fall'' is the fourth studio album from British electronic music act Unkle, released on . Background As a documentation of the work on the album, on 13 April 2009, James Lavelle, Unkle's mastermind, started an official "UNKLE Blog". According to the first post, Lavelle started to work in studio in January 2009 with Pablo Clements, James Griffith, Joel Cadbury, Gavin Clark, Matt Pierce and Mike Lowry. Promotion On a single, " Heavy Drug (Surrender Sounds Mix)", was made available digitally via Beatport and iTunes. On the download was followed by a remix EP with remixes by King Unique, Steve Mac and Future Beat Alliance. On a song, "Natural Selection", appeared as a streaming on '' Spin'' magazine's website, and was later made available to download as a 320 kbit/s MP3 file, via UNKLE's official website. Unkle
Unkle (often stylised as U.N.K.L.E. or UNKLE, occasionally known as UNKLE Sounds) is a British musical outfit founded in 1992 by James Lavelle. Originally categorised as trip hop, the group once included producer DJ Shadow and have employed a variety of guest artists and producers. History First incarnation (1992–1996) The first release credited to the 'Men from U.N.K.L.E' was a remix for United Future Organization, included on their 1992 ''Loud Minority'' single. Lavelle and Goldsworthy were joined by Masayuki Kudo and Toshio Nakanishi of the Japanese hip hop crew Major Force (later Major Force West). James Lavelle
James Lavelle (born 22 February 1974) is an English electronic musician, record label owner and curator. He founded the Mo'Wax record label in 1992, and has been the only constant member of UNKLE. He directed the 2014 edition of the Meltdown festival on London's South Bank, and curated the 2016 exhibition "Daydreaming with Stanley Kubrick" at Somerset House. He is the subject of 2016 documentary film '' The Man from Mo'Wax''. Career Lavelle founded Mo' Wax in 1992. The label was not co-founded by Tim Goldsworthy, as is often reported. In 1996 Mo' Wax released one of electronic music's most celebrated albums, DJ Shadow's seminal '' Endtroducing.....''. Lake Trout are a rock band based in Baltimore. Their music is a combination of rock, ambient, jazz, and many other styles, including influences from post-rock and post-punk. Autolux is an American alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 2001. The group formed as a trio and have released three full-length albums, ''Future Perfect'' (2004), '' Transit Transit'' (2010) and '' Pussy's Dead'' (2016).
