What's Up Nurse!
''What's Up Nurse!'' is a 1977 British sex comedy film directed and written by Derek Ford and starring Nicholas Field, Felicity Devonshire and John Le Mesurier. It tells the story of the adventures of a young doctor in a hospital. The sequel '' What's Up Superdoc!'' was released the following year, with Christopher Mitchell replacing Nicholas Field as Dr Todd. Derek Ford
Derek Ford (6 September 1932, Essex – 19 May 1995) was an English film director and writer, most famous for sexploitation films such as ''The Wife Swappers'' (1970), ''Suburban Wives'' (1971), ''Commuter Husbands'' (1972), ''Keep It Up, Jack'' (1973), ''Sex Express'' (1975) (also filmed in a graphic hardcore version), ''What's Up Nurse!'' (1977) and ''What's Up Superdoc!'' (1978). Chic Murray
Charles Thomas McKinnon "Chic" Murray (6 November 1919 – 29 January 1985) was a Scottish comedian and actor. He appeared in various roles on British television and film, most notably in the 1967 version of ''Casino Royale'', and portrayed Liverpool Football Club manager Bill Shankly in a musical. Life and career Murray was born in Greenock, Renfrewshire. He began his career as a musician in amateur groups such as "The Whinhillbillies" and "Chic and His Chicks" while an apprentice at the Kincaid shipyard in 1934. Sarah Street (born 1958) is professor of Film and Foundation Chair of Drama at University of Bristol. Education Street received a Bachelor of Arts from University of Warwick and a Doctor of Philosophy from Oxford University. The ''Monthly Film Bulletin'' was a periodical of the British Film Institute published monthly from February 1934 until April 1991, when it merged with '' Sight & Sound''. Michael Cronin (born 1942) is a British actor. Personal life Born in Cranfield, Bedfordshire during World War II, he was educated at St Brendan's College by the Christian Brothers in Bristol, and at the University of London where he studied English. Terence A. Duggan (15 April 1932 – 1 May 2008) was a British comedian and actor who had a successful career in cabaret and variety, and played numerous character roles on television. Early life Duggan was born in Hoxton, London. Keith Smith (actor)
Keith Wilfred Smith (24 February 1926 – 30 March 2008) was an English actor who is known for his roles in ''The Army Game'' and ''The Beiderbecke Trilogy''. Smith also appeared in ''The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin'' as a manager of a Companies featured in The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin#Grot, Grot shop. Sheila Bernette (occasionally Burnette; born 30 March 1931) is an English singer and character actress on film, television and radio. Bernette also appeared as herself in many television productions, and is remembered as one of the regular practical jokers in the UK version of ''Candid Camera''.
