Natalie Laura Mering (born June 11, 1988), known professionally as Weyes Blood (pronounced , like "wise blood"), is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. She was primarily raised in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. She has been performing her own material under variations of the name Weyes Blood since 2003. Mering's career began with her early involvement in the underground noise music scene and tenure as a member bassist of the Portland, Oregon-based experimental rock group Jackie-O Motherfucker and singer for the band Satanized. As Weyes Bluhd she released three self-released solo albums exploring softer pop music, pop and folk music, folk sounds before adopting the alternate moniker Weyes Blood to release ''The Outside Room'' (2011) on micro-label Not Not Fun Records. The Showbox
The Showbox (originally known as the Showbox Theater) is a music venue in Seattle, Washington, United States. It has been owned by AEG Live since 2007. History and usage Founded in 1939, the Showbox has hosted a diverse offering of music over the decades. New Wave Music
New wave is a music genre that encompasses pop music, pop-oriented styles from the 1970s through the 1980s. It is considered a lighter and more melodic "broadening of Punk subculture, punk culture". Scotts Valley is a small city in Santa Cruz County, California, United States, about south of downtown San Jose and north of the city of Santa Cruz, in the upland slope of the Santa Cruz Mountains. John Scott Thompson (born June 12, 1959) is a Canadian actor and comedian, best known as member of the comedy troupe The Kids in the Hall and for playing Brian on ''The Larry Sanders Show''. To be born again, or to experience the new birth, is a phrase, particularly in evangelical Christianity, that refers to a "spiritual rebirth", or a regeneration of the human spirit.
