Wendy Van Eijk
Wendy van Eijk-Nagel (born 14 February 1973) is a Dutch politician from the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy who was elected to the Dutch Parliament in the 2023 Dutch general election. She was a member of the Provincial Council of Limburg from 29 March to 7 September 2023. In the House of Representatives, Van Eijk was the VVD's spokesperson on taxes, mental healthcare, assisted living, sports, and war victims. Later, all but taxes were replaced with childcare benefits scandal, finances of lower governments, child care, and poverty. Maarheeze
Maarheeze is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the municipality of Cranendonck, about 15 km southeast of Eindhoven, near the Belgian and the German borders. History The village was first mentioned in 1223 as in Marresia. The etymology is unclear. Maarheeze is a church village which developed in the Early Middle Ages. Maarheeze was home to 220 people in 1840. The Catholic St Gertrudis Church was built between 1909 and 1910 and has two towers. In 1913, a railway station was built in Maarheeze, however it closed in 1938 and the building was demolished in 1966. A new railway station was built in 2010. In 1955, a factory was opened by Philips. Maarheeze used to be a separate municipality. It merged with Budel in 1997, and changed its name to Cranendonck. Early general elections were held in the Netherlands on 22 November 2023 to elect the members of the House of Representatives (Netherlands), House of Representatives. For the 22 November 2023 Dutch general election, 26 electoral lists were successfully submitted, totalling 1,126 candidates. The 150 seats were awarded to party lists, with candidates over the preference threshold awarded a seat first if available and the other seats awarded based on position on the list. The preference threshold for this election was 17,388 votes (25% of the electoral threshold).
