''Welcome to Home Gori'' () is a 1990 comedy-drama film directed by Alessandro Benvenuti. It is based on a comedy play with the same name by Ugo Chiti and the same Benvenuti. For her performance Ilaria Occhini was awarded with a Nastro d'Argento for Nastro d'Argento for Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actress. The film has a sequel, ''Return to Home Gori''. Plot The film is set in a house in a Tuscan landscape, has an ironic content and a Christmas frame. The film is divided into 5 episodes: The Family, The Lunch, Unexpected Pregnancy, The Videotape and Epilogue. Alessandro Benvenuti
Alessandro Benvenuti (born 31 January 1950) is an Italian actor, film director and screenwriter. He was co-founder, together with Francesco Nuti and Athina Cenci, of the comedy ensemble "GianCattivi" with whom he achieved his first successes on stage and on television. He made his film debut in ''West of Paperino'', for which he won the 1982 Nastro d'Argento for Nastro d'Argento for Best New Director, Best New Director, therefore he started a critically appreciated career as director, screenwriter and actor of a set of original, offbeat comedies. In 1995 he won a second Nastro d'Argento for the script of the film ''Belle al Bar''. Massimo Ceccherini (born 23 May 1965) is an Italian actor, film director, comedian and screenwriter. Francesco Nuti (17 May 1955 – 12 June 2023) was an Italian actor, film director and screenwriter. Biography Born in Prato, Nuti began his professional career as an actor in the late 1970s, when he formed the cabaret group ''Giancattivi'' together with Alessandro Benvenuti and Athina Cenci.
