We're Not Grasshoppers
Dissident Prophet were an apocalyptic indie rock band from Birmingham, England. They released six albums: ''We're Not Grasshoppers'', in 1996; with a follow-up, ''21st Century Spin'' (as Maccabees), released in 2002; ''Modern Man (Maccabees), Modern Man'' (as Maccabees), in 2005; ''Weapons of Mass Deception'', in 2012; ''Red Moon Rising'', in 2015. Their last album, ''Strange Days'' released on 24 October 2017. History 1994–1997 MGL Granite Records signed the band after their second gig. Their sound is rooted in indie rock, and they have built a strong following through their live performances. Their debut single, "Generation X", was released on MGL Records in 1994. ''Kerrang!'' is a British music webzine and quarterly magazine that primarily covers rock, punk and heavy metal music. Creation Fest
Creation Fest is a free Christian music festival, which takes place on the first weekend of August in the Royal Cornwall Showground, Cornwall, England. Prior to 2009 it was held in neighbouring Devon. History The California-based Calvary Chapel established a church 'plant' (a new congregation) in Woolacombe, North Devon, in 2000. The following year the church members were given a vision to put on a Christian music festival, and Creation Fest was born. The first festival was in the summer of 2002 as a one-day event and has grown as an event to a three-day festival. The festival was originally based in Woolacombe, and ministered to the people of North Devon as well as people from all over the world. Kings Heath (historically, and still occasionally King's Heath) is a suburb of south Birmingham, England, four miles south of the city centre. Historically in Worcestershire, it is the next suburb south from Moseley on the A435 road, A435 Alcester Road. Since 2018 it has been part of the Brandwood and Kings Heath Ward. Paul Poulton (born 3 July 1956) is a British singer-songwriter, guitarist and writer. Born in West Bromwich, West Midlands, England, he has released fifteen albums, eight singles and four books since 1989. He has toured mainly in the UK and US. His song "Flaky People" was played by Mid-West American radio station WQRP in the late 1990s. Poulton performs as a solo performer with an acoustic guitar and also with his band the Paul Poulton Project. Spiritual warfare is the Christian concept of fighting against the work of preternatural evil forces. It is based on the belief in evil spirits, or demons, that are said to intervene in human affairs in various ways. Weapons of Mass Deception is pejorative expression used by some people to describe U.S. President George W. Bush's claim that Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction as justification for the war on Iraq. The variation Weapons of Mass Distraction has also been used by pundits and satirists. This punning alteration accuses the Bush administration of using the war in Iraq to draw the nation's attention away from other problems, such as the economic recession of 2002.
