"Watching the Wildlife" is the seventh and last single by Great Britain, British pop music, pop musical band, band Frankie Goes to Hollywood. Released on 23 February 1987, it is taken from the album ''Liverpool (album), Liverpool''. Of the three singles culled from ''Liverpool'', "Watching the Wildlife" is the most radio-friendly, lacking the rocky sound of "Rage Hard" and "Warriors of the Wasteland". However, the single only reached number 28 on the UK Singles Chart and #23 in Germany. It is also the only one of the three ''Liverpool'' singles not to have a CD single release at that time and the mix used on the 7" vinyl single has never appeared on a UK issued compact disc. A German 4-track CD single was bundled with the Bang!/Hard On CD/DVD set which contains the mix in question. The 1988 ''Record Collector'' magazine discography of the band contains a listing for a UK CD single, complete with catalogue number, but this was an error based on assumption. Frankie Goes To Hollywood
Frankie Goes to Hollywood were an English synth-pop band formed in Liverpool in 1980. The group's best-known line-up comprised Holly Johnson (vocals), Paul Rutherford (backing vocals), Peter Gill (drums, percussion), Mark O'Toole (bass guitar) and Brian Nash (guitar). The group's 1983 debut single "Relax" was banned by the BBC in 1984 while at number six in the charts and subsequently topped the UK Singles Chart for five consecutive weeks, going on to enjoy prolonged chart success throughout that year and ultimately becoming the seventh-best-selling UK single of all time. It also won the 1985 Brit Award for Best British Single. Their debut album, ''Welcome to the Pleasuredome'', reached number one in the UK in 1984 with advanced sales of more than one million. Klaus Schulze
Klaus Schulze (4 August 1947 – 26 April 2022) was a German electronic music pioneer, composer and musician. He also used the alias Richard Wahnfried and was a member of the Krautrock bands Tangerine Dream, Ash Ra Tempel, and The Cosmic Jokers before launching a solo career consisting of more than 60 albums released across six decades. Early life Schulze was born in Berlin in 1947. His father was a writer and his mother a ballet dancer. After graduating from high school, he delivered telegrams and studied German at the Technical University of Berlin. He and his wife Elfie had two sons, Maximilian and Richard. Career 1970s In 1969, Schulze was the drummer of one of the early incarnations of Tangerine Dream - one of the most famous bands that got the nickname "Krautrock" in English speaking countries (others included Kraftwerk and Popul Vuh) - for their debut album '' Electronic Meditation''. Sexmix (subtitled ''Archive Tapes And Studio Adventures, Volume One'') is a Frankie Goes to Hollywood remix album released on 3 August 2012. The set focuses on rare FGTH single formats, specifically the cassette releases ("singlettes") and CD releases. Controversy A day before the set was revealed, it was revealed that mono mixes had been supplied for the " All In The Body, All In The Mind" singlette, with hints of a lossless replacement download for said single. Many people didn't take notice until the set was released, when a majority of people gave the release low ratings due to this. Eventfully, on 21 November 2012 ZTT offered a mail-order physical replacement disc (with said tracks mastered in stereo) to those who had purchased the set prior, by either sending them the mono disc or emailing (or sending) a scanned copy of their receipt or other proof of purchase (to prove they brought Sexmix) to Union Square Music's email address.
