Watch Out For ZouZou
''Khalli Balak Min ZouZou'' () is a 1972 Egyptian movie directed by Hassan El-Imam starring Soad Hosny, Hussein Fahmy and Taheyya Kariokka. As with many Egyptians movies of the era, it combines drama, comedy, and music. With its musical numbers and dance sequences, it has become one of Hosny's best loved films and a household favourite in Egypt. However, through these dance sequences, it holds a mirror up to Egyptian society in the 1970s. The movie focuses on the tensions within Egyptian society between tradition and modernism, as well as social pressure towards liberalism. ''Watch Out for ZouZou'' was listed in the top 100 Egyptian films list. Plot ZouZou is a college student that comes from a family of entertainers. Hassan Al-Imam
Hassan el-Imam ( , ; March 6, 1919, in Mansoura, Egypt – January 29, 1988) was a prominent Egyptian film director. He was nicknamed the Box-office King. Early life Hassan El-Imam was born on March 6, 1919, in the city of Mansoura, his father El-Imam pasha El-Imam was a wealthy businessman and part of the el-Imam family. Hassan El-Imam was persistent, open-minded, and interested in public events, especially in theatrical art events, due to the proliferation of theaters at that time, and the lack of widespread cinema. Samir Ghanem
Samir Yousef Ghanem (; 15 January 1937 – 20 May 2021) was an Egyptian comedian, singer, and entertainer. Early life and education Ghanem was born in al-ʿAtawlah, Asyut Governorate. After graduating from high school, he joined the Police Academy following the example of his father, who was a police officer, but he was dismissed from it after failing two consecutive years, so he transferred papers to the College of Agriculture at Alexandria University and joined the acting teams there. He earned a bachelor's degree in Agriculture from Alexandria University. Muhammad Salah Eldin Bahgat Ahmad Helmy (, ), known as Salah Jaheen ( ; December 25, 1930 – April 21, 1986) was a leading Egyptian poet, lyricist, playwright and cartoonist. Life and career Jaheen was born in Shobra district, Cairo in 1930 to a middle-class family. He studied law in Cairo University. In 1955, he started working for the Egyptian weekly magazine "Rose al-Yousef" as a cartoonist. A year later, he moved to the new magazine "Sabah el-Khair" for which he became the editor-in-chief, then he joined Al-Ahram. Together with Fuad Haddad, Jaheen had a great role in development of Egyptian colloquial poetry.
