Walt Disney Studios Park
Walt Disney Studios Park ( French: ''Parc Walt Disney Studios'') is the second of two theme parks built at Disneyland Paris in Marne-la-Vallée, France. The park opened on 16 March 2002, and it is owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company through its Experiences division. Upon opening, it was dedicated to show business, movie themes, production, and behind-the-scenes. Still, in the 2010s, in a similar manner to Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, it began to distance itself from the original studio backlot theming. It entered a new direction of attraction development inspired by Disney stories. The park is represented by the Earffel Tower, a water tower with Mickey Mouse ears similar to the one formerly located at Disney's Hollywood Studios, which in turn was inspired by the water tower at the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, California. Earffel Tower
The Earffel Tower is a faux water tower located at Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris in Seine-et-Marne, and formerly at Disney's Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World, Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida, near Orlando, Florida, Orlando. Adorned with a set of Mickey Mouse ears, it is inspired by the real water tower located at the Walt Disney Studios (Burbank), Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California. A pun on the Eiffel Tower, it is based on water towers commonly found on Hollywood studio backlots of the first half of the 1900s, which were originally a safety measure to douse fires on highly flammable wooden film sets. However, the Earffel Tower has never contained water. Toon Studio
Toon Studio is a land at Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris, France. The land, formerly known as Animation Courtyard, received a revamp in 2007 to features a more colourful and "immersive" theming. In August 2021, much of the land's Pixar attractions were rebranded under a new sub-area referred to as Worlds of Pixar. Developed by Walt Disney Imagineering, the new land was announced on January 11, 2005, by Euro Disney SCA, the owner and operator of Disneyland Resort Paris, as part of a new initiative to add new attractions to both theme parks made possible by a major financial restructuring. The new creative director for Walt Disney Imagineering, John Lasseter, has made it clear he is reviewing all concepts for attractions that have been definitely commissioned, and in particular the Toon Studio is an area he wants to expand upon. Hong Kong Disneyland () (abbreviated HKDL; also known as HK Disneyland or Disneyland Hong Kong) is a theme park located on reclaimed land in Penny's Bay, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. Stitch Encounter
Stitch Encounter is an interactive show located in Walt Disney Studios Park (under the name Stitch Live!), and in Tomorrowland at Tokyo Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland Park. The first edition of the show at Hong Kong Disneyland was closed on May 2, 2016, to make room for Star Wars: Command Post, although it temporarily returned to Hong Kong in 2019 for a limited time as a "Magic Access Members"-exclusive event. Mermaid Lagoon is a "port-of-call" (themed land) at Tokyo DisneySea in the Tokyo Disney Resort, and is themed to Disney's ''The Little Mermaid'' franchise. Theming The facade is made to look like the Palace of King Triton and features fanciful seashell-inspired architecture. This area is unique in that it is mostly indoors and recreates the feeling of being underwater. Most of the rides in this area are geared towards younger children.
