Waking The Dead (TV Series)
''Waking the Dead'' is a British television police procedural crime drama series, produced by the BBC, that centres on a fictional London-based Cold case (criminology), cold-case unit composed of Criminal Investigation Department, CID police officers, a psychological profiler, and a forensic science, forensic scientist. A pilot episode aired in September 2000, and a total of nine series followed. Each story is split into two hour-long episodes, shown on consecutive nights on BBC One. A third-series episode won an International Emmy Award in 2004. The programme was also shown on BBC America in the United States, though these screenings are edited to allow for advertising breaks, as well as UKTV (Australia and New Zealand), UKTV in Australia and New Zealand and ABC1 in Australia. Crime Drama
Crime film is a film belonging to the crime fiction genre. Films of this genre generally involve various aspects of crime and fiction. Stylistically, the genre may overlap and combine with many other genres, such as Drama (film and television), drama or gangster film, but also include Comedy film, comedy, and, in turn, is divided into many sub-genres, such as Mystery film, mystery, suspense or Film noir, noir.
