The WWE Women's Speed Championship is a women's professional wrestling internet championship created and promoted by the American promotion WWE, available to wrestlers from the Raw, SmackDown, and NXT brand divisions. Revealed on August 9, 2024, it has a stipulation in which matches have a five-minute time limit and stream exclusively on WWE's online program ''Speed''. In professional wrestling, a pin is a move where a wrestler holds an opponent's shoulders to the mat in an attempt to score a fall. A pinfall is a common victory condition, where the attacker pins an opponent and the referee makes a three count before the opponent gets released from the pin. Background The origin of the pinfall is the pin from amateur wrestling, whereby pinning an opponent to the mat will result in an automatic victory despite any points scored.
