Plzeň (; German and English: Pilsen, in German ) is a city in the Czech Republic. About west of Prague in western Bohemia, it is the Statutory city (Czech Republic), fourth most populous city in the Czech Republic with about 169,000 inhabitants. 2010 Rally Islas Canarias
The 2010 Rally Islas Canarias was the fourth round of the 2010 Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) season. The fifteen stage asphalt rally took place on the island of Gran Canaria between 29 April and 1 May 2010. The rally, which is also a round of the Spanish Asphalt Championship, was a late entry in the IRC calendar after the withdrawal of the Rally Principe de Asturias. Introduction The rally was based in the capital Las Palmas with a ceremonial start on Thursday 29 April 2010. Day one consisted of nine stages covering a total of with day two covering a total of over six stages. In addition to a host of local drivers and those who travelled from Spain, several leading IRC competitors confirmed that they were taking part in the event. 2010 Rally Argentina
The 2010 Rally Argentina was the 30th running of Rally Argentina and the third round of the 2010 Intercontinental Rally Challenge season. The rally consisted of 15 special stages and took place over 19–21 March 2010. The rally was also a round of the South American Rally Championship and the Argentine Rally Championship. Introduction The rally started in Villa Carlos Paz, a city in the center-north of the province of Córdoba, on Friday 19 March with a super special stage in the town. The event was made up of 15 gravel stages covering a total of all completed in daylight. The event on Saturday consisted of seven stages and was centred on the town of San Agustín and around Valle Hermoso on Sunday. The final stage was a repeat of the super special stage in Villa Carlos Paz. The 2010 Rally International of Curitiba, officially 2010 Rally Internacional de Curitiba (''30° Graciosa Rally''), was the second round of the 2010 Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) season. It was also the first round of the South American Rally Championship and the Brazilian Rally Championship. The rally took place over 4–6 March 2010. Introduction The rally was due to start with a prologue on Thursday 4 March to determine the running order for leg one. However, this was cancelled due to heavy rain. The prologue route was also due to be used as the final stage of the rally, but was also cancelled due to the persistent rain that lasted throughout the event. The event consisted of a total of 15 gravel special stages covering with all stages taking place in daylight. The 2010 Monte-Carlo Rally, officially 78ème Rallye Automobile de Monte-Carlo, was the first round of the 2010 Intercontinental Rally Challenge season, 2010 Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) season. New to the IRC Championship, a prologue was held on Tuesday evening to determine the starting order for Wednesday's stages. 2010 Intercontinental Rally Challenge Season
The 2010 Intercontinental Rally Challenge was the fifth season of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. The season consisted of twelve rounds and started on 19 January with the Monte Carlo Rally. The season ended on November 6, at the Cyprus Rally. Juho Hänninen became the drivers' champion after winning Rally Scotland, the third of his rally wins during the season. Hänninen also won in Argentina and Sardinia as he finished on the podium in ten of the eleven events that he contested during the season, of which three wins and four second places counted towards the championship's best seven scores rule. Škoda Motorsport team-mate Jan Kopecký finished in second place, some 18 points behind Hänninen. Although not as consistent as his team-mate, Kopecký won one event during the season, winning in the Canary Islands. Rally Scotland was a forest rally held in central Scotland as a round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC). The first event was held in 2009 and included stages that were last used over 20 years ago on the RAC Rally. History At a press conference in Glasgow on 15 October 2008 it was announced that Scotland would host the final round of the 2009 Intercontinental Rally Challenge and that Rally Scotland had secured a three-year contract with the IRC to host the event. Among those present at the launch was the First Minister of Scotland Alex Salmond, the ex-world champion Robert Reid and Andrew Cowan founder of Mitsubishi Ralliart. The Rallye Açores, known originally as the Volta à Ilha de São Miguel is an international rally racing event based on the Portuguese island of São Miguel Island in the Azores. The event has been a long running round of the European Rally Championship and the Portuguese Rally Championship as well as spawning its own championship in the Azores. It has also in the recent past been a round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge and the ERC derivative series, the European Rally Cup West. Unlike other international events held on Atlantic Ocean islands that it is frequently paired with, the Rali Vinho da Madeira and the Rally Islas Canarias it is a gravel event.
