Volevo I Pantaloni (film)
''Volevo i pantaloni'' (also known as ''Good Girls Don't Wear Trousers'' and ''I Wanted Pants'') is a 1990 Italian coming-of-age drama film directed by Maurizio Ponzi. It is based on the bestseller novel '' Good Girls Don't Wear Trousers'' written by Lara Cardella. The film was a bomb at the Italian box office, grossing about one billion lire in spite of a budget of five billion lire. Plot Annetta is a teenage girl living in rural Italy who attends highschool and lives with her strict parents and brother. Her parents don't allow her much freedom and expect her to comply to traditional cultural norms, especially in relation to how women must behave. Something she has always longed for is to wear trousers, yet her mother forbids her since she doesn't want the other families in the village thinking that Annetta is a "puttana". Maurizio Ponzi
Maurizio Ponzi (born 8 May 1939) is an Italian film director, screenwriter and cinema critic. Born in Rome, he wrote cinema reviews in several Italian magazines during the early 1960s. He worked as assistant director in Pier Paolo Pasolini's episode in ''Amore e rabbia'' and directed a series of documentaries in 1967–1968. He has directed 22 films between 1968 (his debut film ''The Visionaries (film), I visionari'' won a prize in the Locarno Festival) and 2004. His film ''The Pool Hustlers'' (''Io, Chiara e lo Scuro'', one of three featuring Francesco Nuti that Ponzi directed in the early 1980s) was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1983 Cannes Film Festival. Natasha Hovey
Natasha Hovey (born August 14, 1967) is a Lebanese-Italian-French former film and television actress and a radio-hostess. Hovey was born in Beirut, Lebanon, the daughter of an American musician father named Allen Hovey and a Dutch graphologist mother. She moved to Rome at 7, and at 16 debuted as actress with a leading role in Carlo Verdone's ''Acqua e sapone''. Her typical role was the young, pretty high-class girl.
