Novomoskovsk (russian: Новомоско́вск) is a city and the administrative center of Novomoskovsky District in Tula Oblast, Russia, located at the source of the Don and Shat Rivers. Population: 143,000 (1974); 107,000 (1959); 76,000 (1939). History The city originated in the 18th century as the family manor of Counts Bobrinsky, who industrialized it towards the end of the 19th century. The city, under the name of Bobriki () was officially established in 1930 and continued to develop as a coal (lignite) mining center throughout the Soviet period. Znamya Truda is a Russian football club from Orekhovo-Zuevo, Moscow Oblast. The club is most noted because they are the oldest now-playing club in Russia, founded in 1909. They currently play in the FNL 2. The club's finest hour came in 1962 when they reached the final of the USSR Cup. History The club was founded in the village of Orekhovo which was to join with Zuevo and Nikolskoye to form Orekhovo-Zuyevo in 1917. In the 2017–18 season, Znamya Truda finished last in its group, losing 24 matches out of 26. PFC Dynamo Stavropol (russian: link=no, «Динамо» (Ставрополь)) is an association football club from Stavropol, south Russia, best known for winning the 1949 RSFSR championship in one of the 9 zones. In recent years it played mostly in Russian Professional Football League, the third league in the national hierarchy. Due to severe financial difficulties, Dynamo missed the opportunity to be promoted to the First Division in 2005.
