Vince Williams (actor)
Vince Williams (July 11, 1957 – January 6, 1997) was an American actor. He was best known for playing the role of Hampton Speakes on the CBS soap opera ''Guiding Light'' from 1989 to 1995. Early life Williams was born in Natchitoches, Louisiana. His father was a school principal and his mother was a teacher. He had three sisters and three brothers. Williams was a lifelong musician. He first picked up a trumpet when he was in the second grade, but he struggled to play it because he was a frail child. A few years later, his mother bought him a flute for Christmas. At age eleven, Williams took his brother's saxophone from his closet and began to teach himself to play. He became a gifted saxophonist, eventually incorporating it into his role on ''Guiding Light''. Williams graduated from Northwestern State University with a bachelor of arts degree. Vince Williams (American Football)
Vincenzo Jerard Williams (born December 27, 1989) is an American former professional football linebacker. He was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the sixth round of the 2013 NFL draft after his college career at Florida State and played his entire eight-year professional career with the Steelers. Early life Williams played high school football for Ridge Community High School and was one of the state's top linebackers. He was teammates with Mike James. Williams was named Polk County Defensive Player of the Year as a junior and 3A second-team All-State honors as a senior. He amassed almost 300 tackles with 48 tackles for loss and 25 sacks over three varsity seasons. Vince Williams (ice Hockey)
Vince Williams (born November 27, 1975) is a former ice hockey defenseman and a current scout with the expansion Vegas Golden Knights. He was previously the head coach of the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL from 2013-2015 and the Trenton Titans from 2011-2013. Playing career Williams attended Concordia University until 1998, where he played on their ice hockey team for two seasons where he recorded 25 points. When he left college, Williams was signed by the Indianapolis Ice formerly of the IHL. After 33 games with Indianapolis, Williams was signed by the Columbus Chill of the ECHL where he tallied 13 points in 43 games. In 1999-2000, Williams was acquired by the Trenton Titans and played in 1 game for the AHL's Lowell Lock Monsters, the furthest he's progress professionally.
