The Laguna Provincial Board () is the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (provincial legislature) of the Philippine province of Laguna. The members are elected via plurality-at-large voting: the province is divided into four legislative districts, the first and the second sending three members each and the third and fourth sending two members each; the number of the members the electorate votes depends on the number of members their district sends. The candidates with the highest number of votes in each district, depending on the number of members the district sends, are elected. The districts used in appropriation of members is coextensive with the four legislative districts of Laguna. Beginning in 2025, the lone congressional districts of Biñan, Calamba, and Santa Rosa will also align with the legislative districts, bringing the total to seven. Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats (), abbreviated as Lakas–CMD and popularly known as Lakas, was a political party in the Philippines. Its ideology and that of its successor is heavily influenced by Christian and Islamic democracy. The party's influence on Philippine society is very strong, especially after the People Power Revolution, which has led the country to elect two presidents from the party, namely Fidel V. Caesar Pabalate Perez (January 29, 1954 – December 3, 2020) was a Filipino politician who served as mayor of Los Baños, Laguna for 17 non-consecutive years, from 2001 to 2010 and 2013 until his assassination in 2020, as well as vice governor of Laguna from 2010 to 2013. A farmer prior to entering politics, Perez began his political career in 1989 as barangay captain of Batong Malake, and was soon elected president of the Liga ng mga Barangay () in both the municipality of Los Baños and the province of Laguna. On December 3, 2020, Perez was assassinated behind the municipal hall by a hidden gunman.
