Vettam
''Vettam'' () is a 2004 Indian Malayalam-language screwball comedy film directed by Priyadarshan based on a screenplay he had co-written with Udayakrishna-Siby K. Thomas from his story. It was produced by Menaka through Revathy Kalamandhir and distributed by Swargachitra Release. The film stars Dileep and Bhavna Pani with Kalabhavan Mani, Innocent, Janardhanan, Nedumudi Venu and Jagathy Sreekumar in supporting roles. It has over the years attained a cult status. The movie is mainly based on the 1995 movie ''French Kiss'' which had already been adapted in 1998 in Hindi as '' Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha''. The comedy scenes of this movie were later adapted by the director for his 2009 Hindi movie '' De Dana Dan''. The climax of the movie was re-used from director's 2003 Hindi movie ''Hungama''. Kalabhavan Mani
Kunnisseri Veettil Raman Mani (1 January 1971 – 6 March 2016), better known by his stage name Kalabhavan Mani, was an Indian actor and singer. Mani started his career as a mimicry artist with the Kalabhavan comedy troupe. He had starred in over 250 films, including Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu films, and was renowned for his humorous characters and villain roles. Bhavna Pani is an Indian actress, model and dancer. She is trained in classical dance forms Odissi and Kathak, as well as in ballet and contemporary modern dance. Arun Kumar Aravind is an Indian film director, editor and producer who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. Innocent Vareed Thekkethala (born 28 February 1948) is an Indian actor and politician. Priyadarshan (born 30 January 1957) is an Indian film director, screenwriter and producer who works predominantly in Malayalam and Hindi films, while also having done six films in Tamil and two films in Telugu. He has done about 31 films in Hindi alone, the highest number of films done by any Hindi film director after David Dhawan. He was one of the first directors in India to introduce rich color grading, clear sound and quality dubbing through his early Malayalam films. Priyadarshan has also directed many advertisement films. ''De Dana Dan'' ( Hit left and right) is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language comedy film directed by Priyadarshan. Janardhanan Nair (born 5 May 1946) is an Indian actor, producer and a former Indian Airforce personnel who predominantly acts in Malayalam films. He acted in his first feature film ''Adyathe Kadha'', directed by K. S. Sethumadhavan in 1971, he acted in more than 700 films.
