Vater Wider Willen
is a German family drama television series broadcast on Das Erste from 1995 to 2002. It consists of three pilot films and two seasons of 13 episodes each. Synopsis Successful conductor Max takes over the South German Symphony, whose chief conductor has recently died of a heart attack. He subsequently gets a visit from his ex-wife, Ingrid. She is a paleontologist and has received a research assignment in the Andes. She wants Max to bring their three daughters, Gitti, Beatrice, and Marlene, to South America; he does so reluctantly. Various unexpected events ensue. Marlene gets involved with a religious sect, Beatrice quits her medical studies to become a paramedic, and Gitti has kidney failure. Max meets Helen, an American soprano, and they begin to date. Helen has two adoptive sons, Henry and William. Christian Quadflieg
Christian Urs Quadflieg (; 11 April 194516 July 2023) was a German actor and television director. After working at various theatres, he became a freelance actor from 1974 onwards. He had his breakthrough on television in 1977 in the episode from the series. He had roles in many popular television series, namely the title role in , which he played for 42 episodes from 1987 to 1992. Life and career Quadflieg was born in Växjö, Sweden, on 11 April 1945, one of five children. His father was the German actor Will Quadflieg, who had played Faust opposite Gustaf Gründgens. His mother was Benita von Vegesack, a Swedish countess. He grew up in Hamburg, where he completed school with the Abitur. He began a three-years education to be an actor at the Westfälische Schauspielschule Bochum, where his application had been refused initially. Suzanne Von Borsody
Suzanne von Borsody (; born 23 September 1957) is a German actress. She comes from a prominent theatre family, being the daughter of actress Rosemarie Fendel and actor Hans von Borsody. Her grandfather, Eduard von Borsody, was a famous director, while his brother, her great-uncle, Julius von Borsody, was an equally famous set designer. She may be best known internationally for playing Frau Jäger in the 1998 film ''Run Lola Run'', and has also done dubbing work for foreign films such as ''Treasure Planet'', where she provides the German voice of Captain Amelia. She is a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF as well as for several other charity organizations.
