''Vale Tudo'' is a Brazilian telenovela developed by Manuela Dias, based on the 1988 telenovela of the same name, created by Gilberto Braga, Aguinaldo Silva and Leonor Bassères. A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel").
